I have a 2004 Toyota Camry LE with factory keyless entry and alarm(vip RS 3200 plus security system). Just want to remote start my car( need send my son to daycare every morning and it is really cold here in Winter(Montana). Could anyone give me some advices or tell me which aftermarket system fits this need. I believe I can install by myself if I can get a installation manual or direction.

No one in my local Toyota do installation for remote start and a auto shop asked for 450$ to install it.

Many thanks!!

Any aftermarket can be made to fit. I personally like the Viper System's. You can do it fairly cheep if you don't mind carrying around two alarm key chain things. Because you already have a factory alarm/door opener/truck release on your key chain push button thing is why they want a lot of money. But if you want to put EVERYTHING on ONE key chain push button thing then that's when it starts to cost a lot of extra money because they have to wire in one relay for each thing your stock push button thing does. So, one relay for your door un locker, one for the stock alarm and one for the truck. I personally have never put an alarm or remote start in any of my cars or trucks but from what I have herd it's all labor and the Alarm/Auto starter is fairly cheep. I can also tell you that you will need to have any extra key programmed at the dealer just to put in a little black box under the dashboard just to make the auto starter work. So, in my opinion $450.00 is not so bad if it includes switching everything that is on your stock key chain push button thing over to the new one that comes with the Viper Alarm system and they take care of the key for you as well. But if you want to save a lot of money and if you don't mind having two key chain push buttons and you make the extra key yourself I bet the place that gave you the price of $450.00 will go way down in price.
