Hi All,
For some reason or other my horn just stopped working. I pulled the fuse panel door and it says that the horn and hazards use the same fuse. So I checked the hazards...they work.
When I depress the horn button I hear a clicking (horn relay?) from under the dashboard.
Here is the info on my truck:
2000 Tundra TRD Limited 4x4
No modifications except for the Borla dual rear.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
John

My guess would be either a bad relay, a loose connection between the horn and the relay or a bad ground. Let me know if I win. :D

Only a few electronics to the horn - fuse, switch, integration relay, horns

Hey - if your horn stops working will it be the relay if it you hear the clicking? What if it doesn't work but you don't hear the clicking? Bad Horn. How do you diagnose the problem?
Thanks!

i guess the horn just died, i threw it away and replaced it with a with fiamm highway blaster and it works fine. very loud/noticeable too.
hey was it a clean swap wire for wire or was there a little extra involved? also, how do the fiamm's sound conpared to the oem. i want a louder & deeper horn but don't want the whole air horn install issues....

Every now and then, while driving along without any nearby traffic, I'll press the horn. (Make's my wife nuts as she's usually "resting her eyes" at the time!!) :D I always tell her I'm just checking to make sure the horn is working in case I need it in an emergency situation. I've done this for years in both our cars, and even though it makes her nuts, she actually thinks I'm nuts.
NOW I HAVE THE PROOF . . . HORNS CAN ACTUALLY STOP WORKING AND ONE WOULD NEVER KNOW UNTILL IT'S TOO LATE UNLESS YOU CHECK THEM PERIODICALLY!!
Thanks for the thread!! ;)

I have read that if you hear the clicking and the horn doesn't work then it's the horn. I tested for voltage and didn't get any and I hear the clicking so I guess it is the switch? Where is the switch? Where can I get one and how hard is it to install?
Thanks!
