just curious...:p
Any special thing you feel has helped you get that far?
How does it shift now vs. then?

Thanks

pete

I had 200k on my 97 T100 when I traded it. The tranny would slip occasionally when cold and I made a right turn, but never failed me. No major work on the engine, either, just occasional and needed maintenance. The engine and compression was still very strong.

I had 198k on my 95 T100 when I traded it. I bought it at just over 100K. It had been dealer maintained and to the best of my knowledge the trans had never been opened. There were a few times were I had some very slight slippage but it was running great the day I traded it in on my Tundra.

275,000 kms and runs great. All I've done is the regular maintenance and had to replace the rear axle seals once.

had a dodge dakota 1989 V6 4x4. sold it at 192K. replaced the trans. at 100k. it was a real chore to work with that truck. owning a 05 tundra now and am happy with the purchase. sold other truck cuz dodge has pretty bad. i see some corolarries between the two in design or principle but i have high regard for toyota.

plus, the warranty 'extra care' really gives me a piece of mind i guess. with my dodge it would have ben a life saver after 100k.

The 96' T100 SR5 4wd ext cab I almost bought had 184K, on the original tranny. The shifts were flawless.

293k miles. I drive like an old man - wait: I am one! Regular service+gentle throttle=good service life.

231,000 on a '94 4x4. The tranny started to act "weird" so I had a BG flush and filled it with some synthetic ATF. It now shifts like I first got it at 37,000. It still has the "usual" issue of not shifting into OD until the tranny is warm but I can live with it, since I have for around 200,000 miles.

What do you mean by "wierd"? Mine is late (difficult) to shift up to overdrive, cold or warm. I have to actually let off the gas like a manny shift, unless I am going down hill. Only 80 k on the clock and dealer mainained.
What fluid do you use?
