A couple of days ago, my driver side power window regulator started making a lot of noise as the window lowers. Sounds a lot like a blender running! It's OK when the window goes up. Anyone else have this? Hate to have it stick with the window open. It's been in the teens here at night for about a week.

Had the passenger side stick & the dealer replaced both under warranty $254.00ea. They knew exactly what the problem was. They also had to reroute wires & lube track. . Hope you still have warranty. I think Toyota knows of problem & if you get to the right people, if you are out of warranty maybe they will fix it. It is always worth a try..

Same here! Parts are ordered for pass. side window. I think it was the regulater, track and some type of rail they ordered. Window was jerking when rasing and lowering it. Also made a lot of noise. Maybe I should have suggested they do the drivers side also! Will also be getting front and rear tsb done on the brakes when all the parts arrive. They werent really that bad but dealer offered so I figured I should go for it!

Dude Boy,
My driver side window regulator has been replaced already. I've noticed that when its really cold outside the regulator will make the "grinding" noise when the window is about half way down and still opening. The dealer didn't question it when I brought the truck in. When the outside temperature warms back up though, or when the sun has been beating on that side of the truck all day, the regulator is perfectly quiet. It doesn't sound normal but as long as I don't start experiencing problems closing or opening the window, I'm not going to worry about it. I figure nothing wants to move when it gets so dang cold out until they warm up a bit.

I noticed mine during a recent cold snap (15-20F). Back in the 50's today and I didn't notice it.
