It will go down, and you'll have to run premium fuel to keep it running well or it will ping. My buddy has one in his Tacoma and said he wouldn't do it again if he had the choice.

I also had a friend who put the supercharger on his 3.4 2002 Tacoma. He was always complaining about the gas mileage (which was compounded by needing to run premium fuel). I'm not sure exactly what it was, but my old 02 V8 Tundra got much better mileage, especially around town.

I noticed an increase when I installed mine on my 03 Tacoma.

Your fuel economy will depend on your foot and how much you want to use that supercharger.

On the highway, I could squeeze 400 miles from the 15.8 gallon tank. That is just remarkable. 25MPG from a 2wd 5spd v6 Tacoma.
