I have a 1996 T-100 Automatic.
I palnt to tow a trailerwith a 240Z in it from Minnesota to California.
It has the original trailer hook up.

I dont know if it will take the weight. I figure the car at 3500 lbs and the traielr at !000 lbs.

I will keep it out of overdrive and prior messages suggest.
Don't know if it has a transmission cooler.

Any help would be appreciaated

I would double check the actual rating of the truck. I am fairly sure you can handle it short term. I had a 95 t100 with the auto and it pulled at least 3600# from time to time. You should be able to find ratings on the truck online. I would recommend a trailer brake set up. That's all I can think of. I am not a towing pro. I will tell you that with that much weight and as small as the trucks are it is going to tax the vehicle and your nerves trying to keep it all under control.

i would think your weight on the z was high and the trailer weight would be low? long drive, is the T100 a V-6? the owners manual will tell you all ya need to know and if ya take it slow and easy ya should be ok but i would think it would tax a V6? 1995 Toyota T100 Review, Prices, Photos: New Car Test Drive (http://www.nctd.com/review-final.cfm?Vehicle=1995_Toyota_T100&ReviewID=207) close call!! what year model and did ya have the Z Car Home Page (http://zhome.com/) says the US model only weighs less than 2300 lbs!:tu: unless ya filled with a V8 you should be ok!
