This is a discussion thread titled "Florida/south Florida Meet (official)", within the Southeast forum, part of the News and Events category.
Ok, gulp, I am up for hosting it. For the reason I have stated before anytime after the hurricane season would be great. I called Markham Park and they have shelters available in November. So here are the details:
Location: Markham Park LINK $1.00 per person entrance fee.
Date: Saturday, November 10th
Time: 11:00am till...the beer and food run out.
Additional details: I will rent a picnic shelter that can hold up to 50 people(we can fit more it just has 50 seats). This will include charcoal grills, tables, running water, and electricity. All I ask is that if I cover the cost of the shelter, the other members who come provide the food, drinks, utensils, and any other...stuff that we need. If we plan on watching any football someone needs to bring a TV. I might have one, but I have to make sure it still works.
NOTE: This is not just for Tundras, any and all Toyota owners are welcome.
Please PM me or leave a response after this so I know approx. how many are up for it and start a roster. I would like to book the picnic shelter by August 10th. So please PM me or leave a response if you will be attending.

Mostsleek, thanks for hosting! You know my response...
Allow me to offer my services in any help you need when setting up for this, I can assume the role of second in command.
I think we can generate a good amount of people and hopefully Toyota owners throughout the state (or even outsiders) will attend this event.
Send me a pm if you want me to do something.

Drinking is allowed at that park? thats good place if you live in Miami.
Y'all have fun. Google Earth the name, gives a great view of the park and location, type in "Markham Park Florida"
Ok it has been confirmed. I just rented the shelter for November 10th. Please post what you are bringing with you(food/beer/utensiles). Speaking of beer, NO GLASS BOTTLES. We are at shelter #3. I will scan the map of the park and post it on here. As soon as you pull into the park take the first right hand turn. Take the next left, you will see a shelter, that is not ours it is #2. We have the next shelter, #3. Just look for my Red Tundra. Like I said please post what you are bringing. I will be receive, hopefully, a bunch of Tundra Solutions stickers to pass out to everyone in attedance. I figured this would be a good way to see fellow members on the streets.

You may have already done this and I missed it, but I wanted to remind you anyway:
Be sure to try and get a local Toyota dealer involved. They'll bring a new model Tundra to the meet and some giveaway's, too, at the very least.

I should be able to attend. Would you like me to post this on CustomTacos.com - The Ultimate Resource for Tacoma Enthusiasts? it's for tacoma owners in case you couldn't figure that out? I think a good amount of them would also show up. I've owned several tacomas and am a moderator over there. we have been discussing a meet, but havn't planned anything yet. let me know.
