Lightbulb Unichip custom tuner shop

HI EVERYONE, I FINALLY FOUND A SHOP!
they seem to know what they are talking about.

i have tried several other shop's. and when i know more than they do something is wrong.
or if they never answer there phone's or return your call's or email's, to me they are not the shop i want custom tuning or modifing anything of mine.

here is there info:
this would be for south florida people
ANCLA INC-UNICHIP
12229 SW 29TH COURT
MIRAMAR, FLORIDA 33029
PHONE # TO THE SHOP 1-786-264-1706

JUST SO YOU KNOW, THEY ARE FULLY BOOKED UNTIL NEXT YEAR.
that's january! LOL funny when i say next year, it sounds like a long time.

anyway, they are going to custom tune my tundra.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
finally ,yeppie, awesome!

i thought this might be some good info for anyone that might want the custom tune.
as far as how much $$$, i don't know, & honestly i don't care.
it was so hard to find anyone that could do it.
now my hope is another 15 to 20 HP. but a perfect tune, with the correct fuel air timing is really what i'm looking for.

i also might throw on a nicely done shot of NITROUS!

oh i forgot this on firday's somewhere in davie/cooper city in the TOWER SHOP'S there is a show every friday night. i am planning on going. most likely after the custom UNICHIP tune.
and hopefully i can be with ANCLA INC. I THINK THEY HAVE A SET UP AND A BOOTH. for a performence shop/accessories i assume this. since they said to me there always there.
they are going to get back with me, about everything asap.
regards,
gorilla

friday night at tower shoppes has been going for at least 10 years. it starts around 5-6pm and lasts til 10-11 or whenever the cops kick people out. it's more of a hangout than a show, but alwasy a good place to go. I haven't been in many years though.

hi, thanks for the info, i'm just learning about it. if we get enough people to go, i will buy 2 trophy's, like last year.
best in show for our tundra's
and
most tricked out tundra.
but we need to get at least 10 tundra's to make it a contest.
i know of 3 so far, that might be more than interested in going.

you will know, wether it is a gain or loose..
a want the perfect tune, air/fuel /timing ratio's to dead on, if possible.

who know's i might lose some power.

as far as gas mileage i am hopeing for a perfect tune, and with that more power.
but it should give me better mileage, you would think w/ a perfect tune.
if not and i gain 20 more HP, i could care less, about mileage.

hi, once i get my cast off, i'll be going to the tower shop's in davie, florida.
but i'll let you all know when, some time in febuary it is alway's on a friday night from 5pm till 10pm-ish.

you might want to show up,
just to meet the company/shop/guy who will be doing my CUSTOM TUNING of my UNICHIP. it's good to know info.

if we can get alot of you to come, than we can have our own little meet/show there.
i will buy 2 TROPHY'S(1 for most tricked out, & 1 for best in show).
we have to get at least 10 tundra solutions tundra owner's.

if you can donate anything let me know, or just post it.

i am also going to contact company's,
to see what they might do for TS member's at this meet/show.

so if you think you can make it, post it.
when i have a date,i'm going, only because i need to have the shop that is going to do my custom tune of my UNICHIP to be there, other wise it would be a waste for me.
they are there every friday night, just so you know. in case you ever want to go on your own.

Default Re: Unichip custom tuner shop

hello to you all,
i finally found a top of the line, shop called JAPTRIX.
i say that because the tuner guy, was amazing. he has been tuning car's for 20+ year's. not only plug & play unit's like the UNICHIP , but all kind's. even swap out ecu unit's type's.

well i have good new's & bad.

we were only going to tune the B map, becuase the A map can run on 87octane. and still provide's as you can see on the last posted dyno somewhere here. i gained a total of 55HP to the engine.

well this shop's dyno i have never seen before, it is beautful. and it is made for 4x4
where all 4 wheel's turn.
anyway.
my B map has 256RWHP & 286 foot pounds of torque.

now for the bad new's
1st,it took me 1hour of highway driving to get there, round trip 2hour's plus wasted gas.
2nd,they tried for 4hour's, yes 4 hour's to tune the UNICHIP.

they couldn't access the computer.
so now i have to, which i did, contact unichip, & they once again came through like champ's like they are. the only thing is i need to pull the unit out, & send it to them. the turn around that was promised was 1day. if they can not get it to where my tuner want's it on there system set up. they will remap a brand new 1 & send it out to me, with all the info that the tuner want's in it.

just so you all know it is the fuel/air mixture's that can't be accessed.
it is running at what a non tuned vehicle should be running at 14.5 A/F ratio's.

now, i have listen to many of you, talk about dyno's and tuner's, what i learned within these 4hour's is priceless.
many of you, no disrepect intended, don't know what you are talking about. where ever you learned about tuning & dyno's are incorrect. i can say that due to my dyno sheet, and what many of you brother member's said on the last dyno sheet.

the air fuel ratio need's to be at 13.2 or 12.9
for a great tune, and stay there across the dyno sheet.
now this could have been done, if they were to be able to get access to the unichip computer program. but o've couse they could not, at this time.

my tuner guy said if i get it back, they will re-dyno it, & see what is going on.
he belive's with his ability to tune my tundra to be able to get 40 more foot pound's of torque & 20 more HP. could it be off, i'm sure it could be. but he does this everyday.
so i belive in him. and after 4hour's of trying, & down loading firmware, software, etc, we still were unable to get into my unichip computer.
the reason, is the constant up-date's, that unichip contine's to produce.

he also mentioned that although all unichip's are sort of cookie cutter done, they should all be tuned if you really want the best result's.

also there is 2 type's of gas, a winter blend, & a summer blend.
so this also has a huge effect on the unichip, plus where they are set up, is way different than where many of us live.
now, i hope you all have a better understanding of what to expect about your unichip.

do i belive in it, O'VE course. look at the result's i have already gotten.
yes, i do have the dyno sheet to prove it.
but right know, i'm more concerned on getting my issue resolved.
can it still run like this , the answer is yes.
it is running a straight line across the sheet at 14.5 where most of non tuned tundra's are. but i want all the hidden power. heck another 40 foot pounds of torque & 20 more HP.
YEPPIE!
regards,
gorilla
P.S. the reason for the jump in HP & Torque could be my new grill allowing more air in, the cutting off of my resinator, more clear air flow within the exhaust, a oil change, or maybe just a better newer dyno. either way, my #'s are higher, which is a good thing for me. also there is a graph they bring up with #'s. the #'s were mostly 18 & 19's what ever that mean's, the custom tuner, & unichip knows what they are, they need to be in the 10's. i added this, i'm not sure if i wrote it. it is another useful part of the tune, that we all should be looking at when we get the dyno done. this dyno had everything, water temp, air temp, rpm's, speed, and many other thing's closed loop, open loop, and so many other thing's when they tap into the dyno. like i said this shop has some totaly awesome dyno.

How much did the tune run you?
I finally found one here in NC that said they would do it. They quoted me at $450 What questions would you recommend that I ask him prior to me taking it to him?

Default Re: Unichip custom tuner shop

hi, bro let me tell you this, 1st off make sure they do a dyno run 1st before they start messing around.
so you know where you are. than you need to know what module you have. that is the computer brain. there are many type's. also make sure if they can't tune it, you pay NOTHING!!!!
ALSO ONLY TUNE MAP B ,why you need 93 octane, or some states only have 91. it's o.k.
i seen my #'s, in the unichip they are so far off, like i said for me to gain another 20+ to the rear wheel's & 40 more torque to the rear wheel's think about it. i have 256rwhp & 286rwtorque add 20ish HP thats more than stock engine, and 40 more foot pounds of torque to the rear wheels.
that 286 + 40= 326 again thats more than stock to the engine.
so think of this:
a 2005/6 tundra 4.7 has 210 to the rear wheel's, for me to get it to 276+hp to the rear wheel's & 326 in torque to the rear wheel's. it's unbeliveable.
but i promise you it's real.

most place's have a very hard time, getting into the unichip. all the #'s are way off and the gains are there and they are HUGE, if you can get in.

also you need to know like i said what module computer you have C, Q or whatever.
also there is a graph, it cover's the whole page of #'s, many of the #'s are 18's & 19's, they need to be 10's.

also the air/fuel is noramlly 14.5 stock. but if your place can get it to 13.2 or 12.9

honest to god, the gain's will be crazy, worth every penny.
the idea is to get in.

which of course if you read my post my guy's couldn't do. in the southeat section here.

2hour's of highway driving to get there. plus wasted gas, & a day off, & zero result's.

honestly imagine how the tuner shop felt.
the lost 4hour's of $$$$. and 2 guy's working on it.

if you guy's want me to try to get you all in, at japtrix, i will try.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!
make sure you are standing there next to the dyno & the computer so you can see it for yourself.
you will be a beliver.

you will understand it all, if your tuner shop has been doing unichip's for year's, and the tuner guy, has a certified cert. from unichip that states he/she went to UNICHIP to learn how to tune the unichip, if not RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if they do not know have the unichip's schooling, do not let them touch your tundra.
you will be signing a release, if they blow it up, they are not responsible for any damage.

belive me, it take's HOUR'S to do it.
dyno run, make changes, dyno run, make changes, over & over & over, until all is dead on.

alot goes into the tune. & i mean alot.

if you have any more specific question's i will try to answer them.

like i said , i know so much now, but in time this to will fade, so ask them now.
i only wish i could have got it done, i wanted this power.

important info:
make them do this:
on the graph make all #'s from the 18's & 19's to 10's.
they will know what that is.

also drop the air/fuel ratio's from way up like stock 14.5 to 13.2 or 12.9 not 14.5.
and
have them dyno it for the last time.

honestly you will have HUGE gain's.

the only issue is, unichip has a constant up-date. and many shop's do not do them, so they need to get all the new firm ware, & software, all down loaded before you go in. not when your in there, so give them all your info, so they can get it all downloaded & ready ,so when you get set up, your good to go, if not it could take a hour or more for all these down load's. many shop's don't do it daily because it take's alot of time. each vehicle has it's own set of down load's, so if they haven't did a tundra like your's, they need to get that info from unichip. it will save you & the shop all this wasted time.

also make sure that unichip is open, so they can call them, & belive me, they will be on the phone with them.

please stand near you tundra & the dyno computer outside & the 1 in your tundra on the seat. so you can see what's going on. other wise, they might tell you it's done, & they couldn't gain access and charge you for nothing.

is it worth it, HELL yah. it thy can do it.
i promise you that.

remember check the a/f of your tundra on the 1st dyno run.if they have a top of the line dyno, it will show you everything, oil temp, tranny temp, water temp, rpm's, speed, the list is so long. also they have to put a probe into your exhaust.
also make sure they have more than 1 fan. espeically a power big 1.

the grph that comes up in the compuer in the truck look at it, & all the #'s.
it has to read 13.2, or 12.9 & the graph #'s all need to be in the 10's.

than you will post a thread saying Holly sh%t, i got some MAD POWER!.
i'm glad i did it, and it is worth 3x what i paid.
or
at least that is how i would feel.

you will have gained & gained HUGE!
good luck,let me know.
again good luck,
gorilla

hi please don't ask about the money on what it cost's. all shop's are different. and it also has to do with how long it take's. many shop's i looked into are about $350 per hour, and if all goes well, and they can get right in , you could be out the door in 1 hour. but in so many case's like i have said before, the up-dates aren't done, so that take's time, maybe a hour. or more, so why should you pay for that time, it isn't tuning time. they sould download up dates either daily or weekly.
if they set up a dyno/tune, that shop should ask you what make, model, you have, and all your engine info, this way they can get all the up-dated info from unichip before you ever get to the shop. this will save you time & money.
also know what type of computer you have, that is the 1 that is conntected to the A/B switch, which on the gen1 model's is skrewed into with 1 skrew to the a/c vent. if you look at it ,it should have some sort of letter on it. now this all depends on when you bought it, or from who?
this is so important.
again, i hope this help's.
gorilla
