southeast meet

I am starting this thread to see if anyone would like to have a meet in late april early may. I propose eastern Carolina's, possibly haveing some fun wheelin or maybe some track time. Send me any thoughts or suggestions on this thread as to a location, time, or any other interests.
One other tidbit, Myrtle Beach's Bike week is in early may if that is of interest to anyone.

I might be down, but May isn't a good month for me.

I'm interested, but it depends on whether or not I'm actually down there by that time or not. I'll definitely be there by the end of May though...

I guess there are not many TS members down here... I thought since I didn't see anyone else trying to put one together for us southeasterners that I would give it a try. If any of you are still interested, PM me and I will get back to you.

I live in wrightsville beach NC, there is a great place about 10miles away from me that you can drive your trucks to the ocean and fish! Just go down I-40 twards wilmington and follow the signs to carolina beach. All of us southerners need to get together and do some driving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! Yall want to say the first weekend in june? I get out of school then and then the summer is one big party!

Sorry guys, I have had trouble getting on TS lately and I know i am a little behind, so as far as I can tell there are at least 6 of us that are wanting to get together for a meet. I am working on getting permission to have access to the old Myrtle Beach Air Force base. That will give us a place to meet, play in the mud, and to BBQ. Now so far there have been a couple of other suggestions as to a different location, so how about some feed back on this thread instead of PM or IM me directly, then we all can decide where and when... I am game for just about anywhere and anytime through the month of May.

Sounds like fun, but you guys are too far north for us in Florida.

We had a meet in Orlando last October and got 6 members, so good luck. Seems Cali is the place to be for meets.

Like I said before, if everything goes as planned, I should be living down there by sometime in May, so I just need a definite date and location and I'll most definitely be there...with bells on...

I am suggesting the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of may or the 8th and 9th of may, due to the large number of bikers after the 9th. post your prefered dates and what you would be most interested in, like trails, track, or just meet and greet (all are welcome).

The later the better for me since I'm not sure when I'll get situated down there. However, whenever and wherever, if I'm in the vicinity, I'll be there.

You want to be careful after the 8th and the 9th. There is about a gazillion bikers sometime in the early to middle of may. There is also "black" bike week, where all you see is the crotch rockets. That is also a weekend to be careful as there is alot of trouble that weekend.

The harley bike week is may 7th to the 16th. Black bikeweek is always memorial weekend and I for one wont be in town that weekend, if I am I wont be going out anywhere. so my suggestion is for the weekend of the 1st.
If anyone needs hotel information let me know and I will do what i can.

Here it is: May 1st 10 am meet at the old Air Force Base in Myrtle Beach (pm me for directions). We will be grilling lunch so if you would like to add to the feast bring some fixins, I will have some steaks or ribs (maybe both), bring your softball gear, cause we might get a game on if there is an open ballfield. Bring wives, kids, husbands whatever.
