This is a discussion thread titled "Looking to get a run together", within the Southwest forum, part of the News and Events category.
So as most of you know, I recently got the lift and tires installed. Looking to get it tested out and get some off-road photos.
Sean, Peter, James, Kees, I'm looking your way to go on this.
Looking for something that doesn't need to be in Denver, but I'd prefer a daytrip style trail. Looking for something a little tougher than Bill Moore Lake. (Toughest thing I did stock, had to bypass the real loose dirt and rock hill climb. No locker, didn't want to snap anything.)Though I certainly wouldn't be averse to running Bill Moore again. Really cool trail.
And as much as I dig Kingston Peak and Loch Lomond, I need something new. Though the hill climb on the backside is fun as h3ll though.
Looking on the dates of April 20th, 26th or 27th.
Let me know!

COUNT ME IN!! I have had this itch for a while, although i bet Kingston peak is still snowed over. ive been up there in may and its was impassable!
I have not run Bill Moore lake, missed that one, up for that shouldn't be snowed over, and i have the locker to get up the hill
Sean, last year this time didn't we do iron clads and they were snowed over too? at least the upper parts.
20th sounds fun right after our meet, or the weekend after that too.
either way count me in!

Yeah Ironclads was still drifted in places, I was surfing on the belly skid at the top.
End of April is probably the soonest, everything just got more snow.
There's a WFTW run at the end of April at China Wall, I wouldn't mind hitting that trail in the near future but dunno if I can make the WFTW run. Details on COTTORA for that one.
Well no one else wants to go? Andy you and I Bill Moore lake?
Looking like, with that recent big blast of snow that hit up there, unfortunately we're going to have to wait a couple weeks. Sadly I get back into weekends soon here. I'll take a trip up there solo and see how it looks after the meet saturday. I've got serious trail itch to go see how the 33's perform. I really should fix that brake proportioning valve bracket.
I need EZ-outs!

All the high country stuff is still gonna be drifted. I'd be interested in checking out China Wall weekend of the 26th/27th possibly...dunno what else will be open...maybe see if anybody on CO4x4 has been to Bunce recently. Otherwise, it's pretty much western slope stuff for now.
