    Default Front sway bar

    Hi

While working on the brakes last week....i saw what i think i have identified as the front sway bar on my 01 tundra 2wheel drive ext cab.
it looks as if the little rubber pads (2) that are at the junction of the bar and the arms attaching to frame are worn, weathered, and cracked. Anyone had experience with changing these. Is it worth it? or necessary?

Wheeler's Offroad has at bushing kit for the front sway bar for our trucks. I replaced mine. Piece of cake. Just hit the nuts with PB blaster or some other penetrating oil first. I broke one of my end links by turning off the top nut when I should have soaked it first.

Front swaybar bushing kit from Wheelers Offroad. Stubbie 21" antenna. Underdrive pulley installed with NAPA belt. Timing chain replacement and brake job are next!

The sway bar bushings rusted off and cost you 115.00 per side????

I just bought some new ones for a friends taco and they were 9.00 for the brackets ( including the bolts) @ my local dealership..3.00 each for the poly Bushings....

are we talking about the same part ?

Ah, my bad, it was the end links on the end of the sway bar to the frame that rusted off and were $115 each.

    I misread the OP.

Yeah, ok, those are the sway bar end links. Mine rusted off, where the nut is on the top of that sway bar, but in your case, it looks like you're ok there, just need new bushings! Lucky You!
