Default installing rancho shocks

I'm not a noob at installing shocks, I've installed Bilstien shocks in my 4Runner, but have decided to try Ranchos on my Tundra. When I recieved my new shocks they were compressed. Am I supposed to pull them out or something? These aren't like the Bilstien shocks I've installed where I have to push the shock from the bottom to get the bottom mounting bolt in.

Compressed like held in place by a long zip tie, or held in place like just sitting there and you can move them around easily by hand?

If the latter, they are not gas-charged like the Bilis you just removed.

I hate to say it but you may honestly be about to install parts inferior to what you just removed.

If you haven't installed them yet, take 'em back and upgrade to a Bilstein 5100 or a shortbody 10" 7100...the shop should be able to get them. Nope, they're not gonna be as inexpensive as Ranchos, but you get what you pay for.

I've had Ranchos on different trucks that I had and I will never use them again. You get the same effect if you use a solid steel rod in the place of the shocks. They are the most rigid pieces of garbage out there!!!
