Default CV Boots

I have a 96 toyota tocoma that I have installed a 3" toytec spacer lift and of coarse I have busteed the cv boots, because they were rubbing together.I ordered some kartek boots and had them installed and the upper boot is still touching becuse it is cramed together to me it looks like the small end of the upper boot needs to slide down the axel. Can anyone give me any tips of how to get the boot to slide down the shaft because it seem to be siting in some kind of stop.

Take the clamp off and work at it. It's supposed to sit in a groove, maybe it's on the wrong side of the ring at the inboard side of the groove.

Can it not slide down the shaft over to stop so that the boot will not be bunched up, it will just bust again soon with the journals rubing together.
