Default Re: Readylift deals!

I'm a sorry owner of a ReadyLift installed on my 05 Tundra DC less than a year ago. I've replaced one ball joint and see signs that another one seems to be failing.

I sure can't prove that the ReadyLift caused my ball joints to fail but I do know that offroading or even bumpy roads are hell with the ReadyLift. The upper control arm hits the coilover in full droop, (which is drastically reduced with the ReadyLift), and I've heard many LOUD clunks when the wheel drops more than a couple inches, like in a pot hole or speed bump! My truck didn't do this without the lift. I don't know if the clunk is the UCA hitting the coilover or the ball joint getting torqued but it sure sounds bad.

Anyone considering a ReadyLift should seriously look into other options and read the post by jzraiden labelled "Why spacer lifts are bad"!
I'll be removing mine ASAP!
Sorry Josh!

Sure you can. Remove the dust boot while your truck suspension is at full droop. Take a look at the ball joint binding. Take a picture and post it. If it is binding then that is the cause of the ball joint to go bad. This is the problem of just spacing down the shock. It will cause thousands of dollars over time in repairs. Upper and lower ball joints, steering etc.... I have fixed so many of these spacer lifts. THEY ARE VERY BAD!
