This is a discussion thread titled "control arm knock-outs to align gm truck", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Hi, I know this is a Toyota fourm, but I thought I might have some luck with this question here. Does anyone know if there are knock-outs on a 2001 GMC Yukon XL 2500 2wd? I have read that everything after 1999 does not have the knockouts that need to be removed, but was told by what I thought was a very reputable shop that the knockouts need to be removed for the alignment at a cost of $169 not including the alignment.
no, it has never been aligned. haven't really had the need to. the shocks haven't been replaced either, I have those on order, and I think that will help with part of the problem.
