This is a discussion thread titled "2008 with Fabtech 6" (with pics)", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Just got my truck back from the shop with the new Fabtech lift and I thought I'd post pics since most people have the Pro Comp lift. Pics aren't the greatest... I'll have to take some better ones tomorrow in better sunlight.

A little perspective:
Haven't gotten a chance to drive it too much yet, but so far the softness of the suspension feels about the same, but the ride is a little rougher probably due to the tire size difference. Kind hard to explain.... I guess the suspension is plush, but a feel the road more. The BFGs feel good and are very quiet, but I haven't gotten above 50 yet. They are bumpy when coming to a stop though. You really feel the knobs then.
The loss of power is noticeable, but not terrible. I haven't gotten a chance to get on it yet though, cause of late afternoon SoCal traffic.
I'll have to update after driving it a bit this weekend.

WOW, that's a dramatic change! Looks awesome.
I'd give it about a 500 mile break in time until it's really set in the way it feels. After that, the suspension should be all settled.
I don't see nearly as much blue as some of those guys were saying in the other thread. Lots of speculation and assumption.

Very Nice - I thought the same thing about the blue, I like that the drop bracket etc are black, the only blue I see is the anodizing on the coil overs.
Looks good! I like the tires alot. Do the front wheels stick out more than the rears? Can you get a picture looking down the side of the truck to show how far out the wheels are?
Drove it on the SoCal freeways a bit last night... Bed bounce is still there, but I think some areas where it occurred have improved, some stayed the same. Overall, I think the ride is pretty much the same. Any differences I feel I think are mostly due to larger tires i.e. more steering shake over larger bumps and slightly rougher ride on smaller bumps. The suspension soaks up the larger stuff well as before.
I'm so bummed. I took the truck to meet up with my wife at the church fair last night and tried to fit somewhere where I shouldn't have parked. Upon pulling out, I forgot to bring in mirrors and clipped the driver side on a trailer. Broke off some plastic and cracked the mirror. A new one is gonna be $500
All components are definitely black, except for silver and blue shocks. They accent the black nicely (besides blue is my favorite color ) The tires don't stick out too much. I'll try to take more pics today, including down the side.

I put some new pics using better sunlight in my photo gallery including a couple of shots down the side.

Yeah, my website has been down today. Checking with my site host to see what up. I posted better pics in my gallery in the meantime.
Hoping to have more soon. Went to pick up my leftover parts from Off Road Unlimited today and the owner was there. He wants to take some shots of my truck for his site. Meeting up with his photographer tomorrow, so hopefully I can have him hook me up with a copy.

Where exactly did they say the control arms were rubbing? I took a closer look on mine and there appears to be at least a half inch of space there. The place that it gets really close is the tie rod ends of the rack and pinion.

When I picked up the truck I asked him where it was rubbing and it turns out that it wasn't the control arms. It was the tie rods. Another salesman said he called Pro Comp directly and they also said up to 5.5", but I told him that the site says 6", but he wouldn't believe me and suggested that must be for 20" rims. He wouldn't take my word for it that others with the 18x9 951s worked on the ProComp.
They suggested that if people are putting larger than that on the ProComp then it would be unsafe. When hitting large bumps/objects the tires would compress and rub. I was tired of trying to convince them so I left it alone.
I'm actually loving the way the Pro Comp 6088 wheels turned out though. My wife too

I noticed in the other thread that you indicated a desire to be "different" by going with Fabtech. I was going to suggest waiting for the CST lift, but it's obviously a little late. Most folks will not notice much difference between Fabtech and Procomp, but CST's clean, one-piece crossmember should be VERY different.
BTW, anyone trying to charge $500 for a non-tow mirror needs to step away from the pipe. You can get a replacement in perfect shape on ebay for $150 on a bad day. Hope you get it replaced soon!
I've checked ebay and couldn't find them. They $500 is 25% off retail from Toyota. I think it's ridiculous too, so I'm gonna wait a bit and see if something else comes up.

My apologies, I did not initially realize you had the Limited with power-fold. That price from Toyota no longer surprises me
The limited availability will indeed make it harder to find a replacement, especially just one. You might want to put a wanted feeler thread in the classifieds!
