Default Coilovers...

Whats a good coil-over for our trucks? I plan on putting on either PRG, TotalChaos, or Camburgs uca; and then getting new coilovers. Thanks *Also Prices*

Sway-A-Way, Fox, King, ICON, not necessarily in that order.
ICON is the most expensive SAW Fox and king are around the same price, Burg has a set made by SAW.

Check out Wheeler's Off Road they have all of them and some of the best pricing on coilovers and kits with UCAs.

I am going ICON myself, front and rear IVD.

installed the camburgs with their UCAs 2 weeks ago and am really pleased with their ride. Wheelers does have good prices and was having a special on the SAWs with the Burg UCAs. My burgs say Sway-a- way all over them as well as race runner. Shipping from Wheelers was really quick.

Default Re: Coilovers...

Judging by the pictures of his coilovers...yes, they could be cranked up some more. This would increase ride height, but place more preload on the coils which leads to a much more harsh ride. Mine are set at about 1" on one side and 1.7" on the other for a level stance. my truck sits up niceley and has room for 35" tires...of course, I have 30mm offset wheels to push them out a bit to clear some items...body mount and the like.

Thanks for all the sites and help. Man, after looking at it, its almost the same price to buy a Pro-Comp 6" or camburg/totalchaos, with sway-a-ways...HMMMMMM...might just have to go big...

But you dont have to get the UCA's to run new coilovers, right?

I would only 700 more bucks. but you don't have too your kinda right its just as much as a 6" lift but this set up is going to be way more kickass performance wise.

Look at the 6" lift as a completely different animal too. Cost isn't the same at all because if you want the performance out of that 6" lift you need to stack the cost of coilovers ontop of the price, not compare it to.

The UCAs do provide better caster for the alignment to keep the truck rolling right after being lifted.

Camburg UCAs are only $528.00 not $700, they are just as good a the T/C and IVD and PRG arms.

Hey Imdone which ones can be cranked up to 3.5" lift?? I'm thinking of possibly running those with my Rugged Trails for a little while...

IVD says theirs go to 3.5" SAWs and burgs are 3" Fox doesn't say, would assume 3" Haven't seen a set of kings for this truck yet.

If you want cranked as high as possible ICON Vehicle Dynamics is the way to go.

That's what I'm rollin'

Very cool...I wish the IVD's were red haha...Black is still cool I guess. Such a tough decision though...Can't decide if I want to get my tires first or suspension...Might be able to pull off both at the same time later this summer though...

Isn't your truck beige or grey or something like that? Why would you want red??? Go black and silver, it will be subdued and will be cleaner rather than stand out saying, hey look at me I'm red, don't pay attention to the rest of the truck because I'm red...

Mine is silver, this is one of the reasons I decided on IVD, amogst others one of them being that the people over there are really cool and know their stuff and have an awesome product.

That is true...I like the Icon's too...I've heard good things about them from other people along with you. I could deal with the black. You think I'll be able to take 3ft jumps with my truck with the IVD's?? I've done it with my Toytec twice and thought I was going to break my truck in half lol.

I was at the CORR races last month and a crew cab in the parking lot had KING by pass coil-overs up from and remote res in rear. But mostly everyone had the Fox Res coil overs.
