    Hey Boone:
As the SEQ MOD I hope you can help. I want to raise the front end 2 or 3 inches in order to make the SEQ LEVEL and not slanted forward. ( LIKE the other SUVs). I want to keep it simple without effecting the comfort of the ride. Any suggestions? Do I want to replace the 4X2 springs to the 4X4 springs? Or do I want to use spacers or air bags? All I want to do is make the look of the SEQ level. Help!

    Jman

    JMan,

you can either buy the performance products front coilover set-up or wait for the cornfed spacers. not sure how either affects the ride, but they would both work.

btw, i don't like the roof rack either. that's why i special ordered it and waited a month and a half. yeah, looks like the only way to remove it would be permanent; body filler and paint.

Simias beat me to the punch but click on Performance Products and see if this is what you are looking for. Not sure about the difference between the 2 and 4WD springs. Good Luck and keep us posted.

    Hello Simias:

I am sorry but I don't know what cornfed spacers are and why do you have to wait? Are these from Nebraska?

    Jman,

Cornfeds are spacers that you add to your front suspension. it will raise the front w/out costing an arm and a leg. Cornfed is still working on them and should be out in a month or so. they will keep us posted.

    Talking Suspension Lift

    JMan,
If you want a simple suspension lift solution while maintaining the factory ride I highly recommend the Revtek 2 1/2" suspension lift kit. It raises the front 2 1/2" and the rear 1 1/2" creating a level ride. It looks and works great. See my pics or Revtek.com for results and more information.

    Question mbstoy's lift

Love those pix. How tough were the kits to install and what did you pay ? Checked out the Revtek site and it says 16 inch wheel is the max for those kits ???

    Default revtek lift kit

I paid $600 for the kit and professional installation. It was a very simple installation (addition of spacer components) compared to the more serious lifts and suspension upgrades that the installer normally does. The lift kit allowed me to run larger tires (285/75R16 BFG AT KO on JAOS Victron Excell II Pro 16x8) creating a more rugged looking rig. Tire installer removed front mud guards to eliminate tire rub during full turn of the wheels. I recently reinstalled mud guards with minor recontouring of inner edges and have obtained adequate clearance. I have not noticed any difference in ride comfort and am very happy with the modifications.

    Default To mbstoy re:REvtek kit

Thanks for the info. Folks at Revtek say my stock 17" wheels and tires will not be a problem with the installation. I just want the lift and am not looking to change the wheels/tires. In your opinion, will the stock wheels look too small with the lift, and do you find the extra inch lift in the front makes the rear seem low ? I currently don't have that sense that the front end sits noticeably lower.

    Default Revtek 2 1/2" Lift

Our posts regarding the lifting of the Sequoia would likely get more interest if we had not initiated it under the title of removing the roof rack. I apologize for not responding sooner, it has been a very busy week of work. After having the lift installed the factory wheels remained on for a week. The Seq immediately looked better but the factory wheels did look a little inadequate. It may be less noticeable with your newer Seq and its larger factory wheels. The front end is noticeably raised with the lift kit but the ride is now truly level. The factory suspension does have the rear end slightly elevated in comparison with the front.

    Default Thanks Chris and mbstoy

And sorry for appearing to bug you mbstoy. You seem to be the only one on the board with the Sequoia Revtek kit. I was concerned about the rear end dipping with that kit. Your pics are a bit dark to really get a sense of the wheel wells. Sounds like you're truly satisfied. I think the Sequoia looks great a bit higher and leveled !

I posted new photos that are lighter and better show the spacing of the wheel in the wheel well.

Been reading some of the threads on suspension lifts over in the Tundra section. Many report problems with the CV boot tearing and leaking with the lift. Have you experienced that or other front end problems since your Revtek installation ?
