This is a discussion thread titled "Rear add a leaf with 2" cornfeds", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I have the 2" cornfeds on a 2003 tundra limited and would like to install a add a leaf in the rear to bring the rear back close to level or even a small amount higher. The 2" cornfeds raised the front about 1/2-3/4" higher than the rear. I'm looking for a add a leaf with 1" of lift and also anti friction pads. Does any body have a source or sugestion. Don
I have 2" cornfeds in front and TRD AAL in the rear. About as close to perfect as you can get.

Checked the photo's out they don't really give a good before and after comparison. You said you have the TRD add a leaf do they have the anti friction pads? Also how much lift did you get from the leaf after it settled in? I'm still conserned that the add a leaf will add to much lift to the rear and make the truck sit nose down again. Don
I just did the daystar 2 1/2" front
and wheelers off road AAL (with anti friction pads)
Rear just a tad higher, perfect for me. (sorry no pics yet)
Are you sure you want exactally level?
by the time you fill it with gas and put anything in the back,or tow anything, the rear will be lower. Thats what I didn't want.

I'm getting the Daystar 2 1/2" front and rear AAL this week. Did you need to use limit straps with your setup? I'm not currently planning to, but was thinking it might be a good idea. Do you, or does anybody know anything about limit straps, purpose, price, installation, etc? Thanks.
Shawn,
I didnt install limit straps and not sure if I need to.
I dont do any off roading or curb jumping. I think when your getting air is when you need them, you dont want your assembly to fully extend. It wouldn't hurt to get them though....you never know.
I have to look into that myself. I've been driving for a week now on my 2 1/2" daystar (no problems) it is something you can add later. I'm sure any knowledgable offroad business will tell you if you need them or not.
Might want to try wheelersoffroad.com
Dont forget to align. truck when you're totally done with lift and tire change.
I just talked to wheelers offroad. Told him I had the daystar 2 1/2" lift kit and asked if I needed straps. He said daystar says they're not needed unless your jumping the truck, or doing some serious offroading or driving through Bagdad.
make some calls yourself, everyone's driving habits are different and there are many deffinitions of offroading.

Grego, thanks for the imput! I'll look into it at the place I'm getting the lift from, but I don't think I need them right off either.
