This is a discussion thread titled "GROUP BUY DISCUSSION THREAD: New leveling coils from Wheelers", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
i think i am goin to end up getting those along with the full bilstein/trd shock upgrade along with some 1 inch blocks for the rear. i have a 2wd sr5 v8 access cab, and i am betting these will lift the front end about 2.5 inches maybe a little more. what do you guys think?
Originally posted by mike.elmes I wonder if I could slap some cornfeds into these and get even more lift??
Anyone??
You probably could but, it's not adviseable if you have a 4WD. That's going to bring your lift way past the 2.5" comfort zone. 2" lift from spring and then additional 2.5" from the Cornfed's, totaling 4.5". That would be too much even for a 2WD. Unless, you'd like to change your ball joints every week.

These are different. These have the same free height as the oem but uses larger gauge wire for a firmer support according to what they said. Basically a higher load coil. Unlike PP1" progressive which relies on a longer free coil to account for the lift.

just here to clarify. We need to make sure that we have our stuff in order before we approach the vendor. Last thing we want to happen is that 10 or 12 peeps say they are in then back out.
Everyone (including myself) make sure your finances are in order and that you are still confirmed.
I personally need a little time to make sure (BUT I HAVE DECIDED MY NEXT MOD IS RASING THE TRUCK)
IT will improve the ride, make the tundra look better, and is not to pricey.
Quick questions once parts are received is it hard to do self install or should a novice have it done by a body shop? (any body shops suggestions?)
The page said that they will not be ready to ship until first week in July ...
that is a good tentative time frame to spread the word and allow for all loose ends to be tied up..
