Default Shock and spring trouble

Dropped my truck off at my local dealer because I thought the ball joints where going bad but they said my front shocks and springs ar ehitting each other. Has anyone ever heard of this? They are replacing the spring perches, springs and shocks. It's under warranty but the truck only has 23,000 miles on it I think thats pretty weak by Toyota's standards.

Are they stock or aftermarket shocks?

Complete truck is stock with the exception of tinted windows.

That is very odd. At least it's covered by warranty though.
