Default How much for labor to replace shocks on a 2001 Sequoia 4x2?

I want to replace the shocks on my 2001 Sequoia. Assuming I order the parts online, how much should I expect to pay for installation?

Thanks for any feedback on this.

Sir,

Here are the results for the products we carry for your vehicle - Bilstein - KYB - Rancho - Monroe - Edelbrock Automotive Truck Shocks and Struts - Shockwarehouse.com.

The prices obviously vary. But our most popular aftermarket product are the Bilstein Heavy Duty. A full set of those and deducting the 5% forum discount + free shipping will run you $293.44 out the door.

Hope that helps and let me know if you have any questions.

I can't image someone charging you more than one hour's worth of labor, which could be around $50 bucks...

Default Re: Which shocks for 2001 Sequoia 4x2?

Well, the dealership quoted $450, just for the front shocks! A local shop quoted $160 for all four. Guess I'll just have to keep asking.

It does require some work, but we're not curing cancer here...

ah yes, I thought you just needed the rear..
all four, with spring compressor, maybe, maybe two hours of labor..

but you already know that the dealership is like 4x what the real world is...

Wow, that's just for installation?! We know dealers are pricey but that's steep. Even the local shop is steep. I would think it's 1-2 hour job and even at $60 an hour for labor is lower. They probably would reduce the labor if you purchased the shocks from them, but they'll most likely jack up the prices and get you that way. However, you probably can't get Bilstein's from either of them. Only select companies sell them aftermarket retail.
