Default Which coilover and UCA for my '07 DC?

Hello,

I purchased a used '07 DC with a ToyTec 3" spacer in the front and blocks in the rear. I'm thinking of swaping those out for coilovers and upper control arms in the front and new shocks in the rear. I need to retain the 3" lift in the front because of the tires I have. I was leaning towards the Icon coilovers with Camburg UCA's with Icon rear shocks. Any thoughts or suggestions? Problems with any of these components? Alignment issues?

Thanks,

Erik

Well you are leaning in the right way. The only other thing i would reconmend is a diff drop if you dont already have one. But you will like that setup we have done it on quite a few customers and they all enjoyed it.

I've heard that the Camburg UCA's make a bunch of noise. Is this true?

Thanks!
Erik

I have Icon coilovers and if you haven't already read my review on them, I absolutely love it. I pretty much had the same set-up, large spacer and stock coilovers, and the ride quality is night and day when I changed to the icons. I'll be getting the Icon UCA's soon and will definitely post my review once I do.

Poly bushings can make noise...uniballs can make noise as well. I've never had a problem with squeaky uniballs in the control arm, only squeaky heims on the outer tie rod ends, and WD40 corrected the problem.

The most common squeaking is from the poly bushings many manufacturers have used for a long time.

I'm sure Camburg can add heims to your UCAs if you ask...they did for my 1st-gen LT kit. Just be aware, it will push the cost up. IVD arms cost more because of the hardware and labor for the heimed pivots.
