Default Tuff Country

So I am researching the Tuff Country Lifts. I like it because it only goes either 4.5" or 5" so it will still look good with 33's. Anyone please if you have this lift, please post pics and reviews so I can get an idea if this is a good lift. Thanks!

Your pics look really good, I like the way that it's set up. So you like the lift, no problems and it handles well?

The 4.5" is a spindle spacer lift and got a ton of bad reviews. The RCD was the way to go for a long time. Tuff Country recently released the 5" kit, but not alot of people on here have them.

Yah I started doing research and saw that it was a spindle spaver and it turned me away. I like the 5" just because I can keep 33's without it looking funny. The RCD is nice but a little to high and pricey for me

The 5" kit would work then for you. It comes with a whole replacement spindle that you bolt in place. No spacer.

Tuff was selling their 4.5" kit with longer spindles for a long time. Did they quit selling them? I have the older style with the spindle reinforcement brackets. I've jumped my truck and wheeled it hard over the years. Only had two problems over the years. Once I ran into 2' large boulder that was covered with snow. It jammed the steering wheel to the right and snapped the rack & pinion center mount right off the rear part of the drop bracket. I welded it back on and reinforced it with some extra steel. Another time I was elk hunting and dropped off a 3 - 4' embankment. After some serious rocking, I was able to work the truck out. Afterwards I noticed some clanking and found the rack and pinion drop bracket on the right side had snapped. Managed to limp it back home. Welded things back together and added several pieces of iron to reinforce things. Neither mount brackets are the weak links in my set up. I'd guarantee as hard as I've used my truck, I'd have been welding something together whether I would've installed a Tuff, Pro Comp or RCD kit. One of these days when I get a newer Fundra, I'll install one of Big Dick's 4.5" lifts...

I've been looking at their lift for a while and the 4.5" kit is still being advertised w/ a spindle spacer lift.

Yah I have seen the 4.5" spindle spacer still around, my question with the 5" it looks like it has a coil spacer, is that a 5" coil spacer? That seems like a little much for a spacer?

Its a drop bracket kit. It does have a spacer in the front though. Seems like the ideal setup for that lift would be to ditch the spacer and install the bilstein 5100 lift shocks while you put the lift on.
