Default Help on suspension

Hi guys,
I'm kinda new to this thread, been a member for awhile juss never posted anything so this will be my first. I own a 2000 sr5 tundra. Owned it for about 4 years now and completely loving it. Just recently I went for a camping trip and decided to bring my atv with me. Don't have a trailer so I loaded it into my bed and I noticed that the rear of the truck was really sagging. Now I'm not quiet sure if thats normal or if I'm in need of some new shocks and/or leaf springs? All info would be greatly appreciated. Off the topic question. Got into an accident during the winter awhile back where side of my truck bed hit a pole. Had it fixed and all but i noticed that the gap between the cab and truck bed is pretty wide but didn't notice until i compared it to my friends tundra, so my question is can i remove the bolts holding down the bed and move it closer to the cabin? Thanks again

Its a maybe, depends on how much play is in the mounts or if something was bent and the shop compensated to make it look ok.
As for a saggy but add some air bags, they won't increase the load capacity and they will some times create a teeter totter point if the weight is rear of them them. this cause the front to lift which creates a loss of steering.

the bed cannot be adjusted. The bolt holes are perfectly round not oblong. There is absolutely no adjustment.

The suspension will sag with some weight, its intended to be a relatively soft ride. I wouldn't recommend airbags for the little bit of weight you are hauling around, unless you did it every day. hellwig makes an excellent add a leaf but still, why sacrifice everyday ride quality for load capacity which you will use 'sometimes'.

Hate to tell you this, but if the gap changed between cab & bed then something is bent.

If the alignment is still ok, and the truck isn't "crab walking", then it's just the bed, and may be as simple as the front of the bed has pulled a bit on the side that was hit, which would make perfect sense to me.

Not sure how you'd fix it, other than a new bed...kinda a lot of work for something cosmetic, assuming the frame is straight.
