Default Dropped the Back. Now what about the front

Ok I have dropped the rear of my 03 Tundra 1'' with the Bell-Tech #6700 shackle. So what about the front what can be.
1:Can I use springs from a different truck or get a custom made set.
2: Since I can use the 2'' drop shackles from a chevy can I use the 3'' or 4''drop shackle.
3:Since the max lift on a Tundra 2.5'' with out haveing to worry about ball joints and all that other stuff ,so can I lower my Truck with about 1.5'' or 2'' front and 3'' back with out problems.

Also I would buy the Hotchkis kit but @ $2500 H@ll no only if it was cheaper by about 2 grand.

PEACE and Chicken GREASE

Zach

You could get some custom springs made for 2-3 inches of drop. I think its Simias that has custom drop coils. Possibly you could get some 4 cylinder springs from a tacoma and see if they'll work. I don't think you could gauge the amount of drop that would give you tho. For the rear you could try and find some shackles that would work or go to a spring shop and have them de-arch your springs by an inch or two. You also could get a custom springs made for a certain amount of drop. I think that a 3/4 drop would give a tundra an awesome stance.

I have the custom springs to lower the front and rear of my Sequoia 2.5". Check out my pics. Although I think it looks awesome the way it is, if I were to do it again, I'd wait for a kit. My front springs have settled and I am now riding on my bump stop (yes, it's a bumpy ride). My front tires are "toe-in" a little so I'm wearing out my tires more quickly. That's why I'm hoping Hotchkis' kit will work for me. Let me know what questions you have. I love the look but just getting lowering springs isn't the correct way to lower the front of a vehicle correctly, IMO.

if you shorten the rubber bumpstops and replace the coils, you can safely drop the front by about 1 inch. any more and you need new control arms.

Well now that my Tundra is leveled I just want to drop the front and back 1''. I think I will go with a custom 1'' drop spring or can I use the 1'' drop spring from a 4Runner and use the Bell-Tech #6400 2'' drop shackle.
One more question if other trucks can be dropped 2~3'' with springs whitout any problems why not the Tundra .2'' does not seem to much I mean you can lift a Tundra 2.5 '' why not lower it 2.5 inchs without problems.
