See, this is the funny part. She is coming in town tomorrow because we have a wedding to go to Saturday. She called yesterday afternoon to see what I was doing and I told her I was lifting my truck. She thought I was joking and said that if I was, she was not coming in town this weekend and she mean't it. So being the wise guy I am I left it alone. I guess she will see it when she gets here tomorrow. Me and my roommates devised a plan to just play dumb and tell her nothing was done to it, its still the same height. But she is pre-med, so I don't think she will be falling for it. Lets hope all goes well.

On a side note, I gotta tell you how much my mom loves me. Yesterday afternoon, my truck torn apart, my floorjack isn't big enough, and I have no money. I took a chance and called my mom to help. She went to Sam's, got me a 3.5 Ton 22" floorjack, and brought it too me. Talk about love. I guess that is why they always say marry someone like your mother.

That's definetely a mother's love. My mom wouldn't do that in a million years, but she comes here to party.... yeah. I have a strange family. Dude, good luck with her. Trust me tho, unless she had a bad experience with a lifted truck (that you should know about!) she'll get used to it, and love it. Besides, I mean, you've got 35s!!! What is there about it that a woman can't love!!!

P.S. - Pikes always know how to handle it.

Good call. I knew I was forgetting someone!!! Freejack is on 36's, and has a 2WD. Leathernuts (where the hell has he been???) is on 35" Goodyears, too. He's got a Tuff country with NWOR springs in the rear and coil-overs in the front. Freejack has a custom 5" (?) lower a-arm drop.

Leathernuts has been pretty busy. He moved and hasn't been on the site in quite a while.

Alright guys. The girlfriend saw the truck this evening and wasn't too happy. She didn't say alot, and didn't want to talk about it, but she can't believe I did it. Guess she will have to come to terms with it. On a brighter note, I have posted a few pics in my photos section to give all of yall a look. I am still waiting for my gapguards to get here, and I need to mount the nerf bars higher, but I think it looks awesome. Everyone else that has seen it has liked it so hopefully it will grow on her. Let me know what you think.

Clay,

It looks awesome, just like mine. Don't worry about the female, she'll get over it, and she'll be more than ok.

My wife hates it every time she gets in it,but loves the way it looks, but hates it,but loves it,but hates it ,but loves it---ect -well she will have to live with it or take the bus.Just kiddin---but she does hate trying to get in it but when driving down the road she is the one looking for other non lifted tundras to get next to so they can see how much taller we are,but then again she hates getting into it but loves showing it off.

It was kinda funny because I went to pick her up last night and she was wearing a skirt. She is a tiny girl to begin with so she had a time getting in. Now don't get me wrong guys, I am crazy about this girl and would do anything to hold on to her, but the lift just ain't coming off. She loves big trucks, and thinks I have the nicest Tundra she has seen, but just thinks I should save my money and not blow it on the truck. I told her, Baby, boys gotta have toys.

It a really nice looking truck----give her a few days and she will get use to it.She will be the one who wants to drive it.My wife"can I use it to go to the store",I be like "you have a perfectly good camary sitting it the drive way",but i still give her the keys--and between my lift and exuast ,she gets in it and just stomps on it.I just shake my head and smile.I guess I have to drive the camary now.

Also I recently towed a el camino on a car trailer on the freeway and man everybody would just drive up next to me and just look at the truck. My truck stood nice (becuase of the add a leaf rear that came with the daysar lift and the body lift)and didnt tilt.If you can-when you get the gap gaurds--send me a pic of them.Thats the only thing I havnt put on yet.Not sure on how the will look.

Chris

clay- congrats on all your hard work & give mom another kiss for the floorjack! your truck looks great & makes me so jealous reading about all these lifts.

when we got the tundra, the wife said i could only modify the tires when the time came. i agreed under the condition that i could lift my wrangler as i saw fit. needless to say, the wrangler is on floor stands and has been registed as non-op with DMV, but since i won the daystar kit from the jamboree last yeay i was able to toss that on the tundra!

tgt, the gap guards will look really nice...they make a b/l'd truck look completely natural sitting on 35s .

...quick, we all need to compare pictures of our girls, i think we're all dating the same girl LOL

i believe a while back on the body lift for offroad thread, tiny girls in short skirts entering the truck were deemed yet another beneficial side effect of a body lift .
