they may not be the same girl but I bet they could be related. We should start a support group for all of them so that they have an outlet for their frustration rather than just taking it out on us.
The gap guards are supposed to be here on Wednesday so they will go on that afternoon. I will post pics afterwards. I think that is the finishing touch it needs.
I have also been in contact with N-Fab, a company that makes nerfbars and prerunner bars. He is trying to get the Tundra Nerf bars made because they will bolt to the factory holes located in the body. These are the same holes the Tundra has to attach the factory running boards. When he has them done, they will cover up the frame that is shown with the body lift.
If anyone knows of another set of nerf bars that work with a body lift, let me know. I need them. Thanks again everybody for all the kind words. I love pulling up next to all the Z-71's and watching them look up for a change.
when my truck was on 35's i had centerline wheels that were 16x8s now that i am on 37's i have weld 16.5x9.75 i hope to get a pic of the truck how it is now asap. as fopr the question regarding doing a straight axle i was thinking about it and talked to the former member tundraon42s and the price would be around 10000 too much for me to spend and the rixe would be way too harsh. i am spending half that on my new lift.

yanno...with a set of step bars, your girl will forgive you much quicker...and they love it when you give them a hand up in to the truck .
there are a ton of nerf bar manufacturers out there, were you looking for a step/nerf bar or a slider-type bar?
-sean
*edit* amerikan, you should talk to joe. his sas isn't costing that much, and he's going high-tech to boot...at least, the front isn't costing that much. the rear is just driveline (high-angle), brake lines, and custom springs, i think...how much of the 10K was labor and how much was parts?
If I were to get nerf bars I would get those sweet *** Kodiak sidewinders. They look flush when they are closed, and provide a strong step when you need it. Check out.

Hes askin which one you're going to let go ya big goof...
Man i want your truck so bad. How much $$$ was the whole body-lift/wheels-tires shebang?
Oh and by the way, i guess you can kiss your warrenty buh-bye...if it was still in effect. Its worth it though right.
oh and how tall are you? so we can have a guage as to how tall your truck is now.
Lets see, as far as letting something go, I don't have to get rid of either. She wasn't happy at all about the lift, but she will live with it. She is the greatest girl I have ever known and loves big trucks, mud, guns, etc, just doesn't think I need to do all of this right now. If she really wanted me to get rid of it and our relationship depended on it, I would. But she would never do that. I love my truck but I love her way more. Whats funny is one of her roommates saw it last night and absolutely loved it, as most girls do. My girlfriend joked with her that she wasn't supposed to tell me that.
As far as the warranty goes, yeah probably. But a buddy with a body lift has had some things repaired and they covered it. Guess it just depends on what it is and how nice your service manager is.
Cost wise, lets see:
Body Lift: $275
Gap Guards: $68
Rims: $520
Tires: $765
Lug Nuts: $26
Mount and Balance: $50
My labor: Free
S-Man, if you have a shop do all the work, the price comes out to roughly $3,000 for tires/lift/rims/intallation/alignment.
Part by part:
Tires: 800-1100 (depending on deal, type)
Rims: 400-1200 (depending on American Racing or Weld/Centerline)
Body lift: 300 range
Coil-overs: 400-900, depending on type
Installation is all up to you or whoever you're willing to pay.
Warranty is also all up to how well you know your service writer.
The only thing that becomes void with the warranty is the front suspension.
Edit: Clay beat me to it.

Well, i have a shop, with tools and air, i installed my daystar 2.5'' spacers by myself (which i didnt think i was capable of doing, but it was pretty easy actually) so if i got a body lift, wouldi have to get it aligned again?
Hey, if CLAY can do it in his garage all by himself, I can do it! heheheh -kidding.
Man that is a great lookin truck. I think i woulda gone with the BFG A/T in 315/70 on like a 17 or 18 inch rim.
alot of people are talking about doing a body lift now. There have been others that have body lifts on this site (tundrachild-which by the way has one of the best lookin trucks out there) but clays seems to have gotten everyone worked up over doin a new lift. Guess i'll be savin' up again. *sigh*
If I had the tools, and knew anyone else mechanically inclined, I woulda saved a lot of money AND put TW SAW's on. So, props to both of you.
BUT, if you're going to so much as take this thing in the dirt to play, get coil-overs if you're running 35s.
