Suspension & AxleTechnical discussions regarding alignment, stock and modified suspensions, lift kits, axles, hub conversions, gearing and steering.
This is a discussion thread titled "Anybody familiar with this lift/spacer setup?", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Saw this on ebay, but not sure I understand how it works. He says it doesn't require spring compression. How does this work compared to the spacers that go on top of the spring like Cornfed?
Do a search for EZ lift. this guy has a web site that you can order them from but i cant remember it i put one of these on my tundra and it works alright i guess. they bolt on using the 3 nuts that hold the coil in the top spring seat. then 3 bolts go in the top of the spacer. i used some red locktite on everything and havent had any problems in about 5K miles. I really like that the ride is the same as stock but with some much needed increased height. Also it takes a 2" block in the rear (its what i used) to make the truck just level.
It takes a 2" block to level the rear? How much lift do the spacers provide? My front fender is exactly 1.5" lower than my rear fenders (measuring from the ground to the bottom lip of the fender trim just above the tire). I also can't search for EZ Lift because of the 3 letter minumum....which I have to say is the dumbest thing I've seen in forum searchs.

For searches less than 3 characters, add an * to the letters. For instance, you might search for EZ* lift.
Note that a 1" thick front spacer such as the EZ lift spacers will lift the front end anywhere from 1.5" to 2.0" due to the geometery of the front suspension. I installed 3/4" thick custom made EZ spacers on my Tundra and the front is now ~1/4" higher than the rear.

Its what i used to make the rear about an inch taller. (just guessing) i probably shouldn't have cheaped out and got a add-a-leaf or a whole new set of springs

I think about 2.5" as advertised. I did a rush job on it and didnt do any measing before i started.
I also bought some doestch tech (sp?) shocks from downey for the rear, because of the extra length. I tried to find some longer bilstien's like the stocker TRD's but had no luck.
Buy what you want but i am certainly satisfied with them, they give the tundra a much needed lift, and they're definatly affordable and you need no spring compressor to install.
