    Default limit straps

I just installed wheeler coils as well but did not go with the straps, but I am thinking about it. Are you saying that the straps actually hold the truck down to a 2" lift, that is, there is constant tension in the straps? If so, and I am not a expert by any means, does this mean that your suspension has zero downward play from the normal riding height ie: the spring and shock can only compress, but cannot extend? If so, is this a necessarily a bad thing?

you know i just did it yesterday and didnt think about that - you are right -im wrong -the straps cant possible be holding the springs in normal sitting position. i was not really thinking when i wrote the post but thanks for correcting me, i assumed they had held the lift to an exact 2" but i was wrong - it must be the coils are just perfect side note- the guy helping me used a digital mic. on the new coils and we put the larger diameter one on the drivers side -maybe this helped. thanks for the correction.

the limit straps should be preventing the damper from bottoming out, not preventing the damper from extending beyond static ride height...if that's the case, make them a little longer--you want the strap to catch right before the damper tops out. also assume if these are the single-web deist straps you will have a 10% stretch factor by length.
