Could you please ask about the price of the rear brake kit and ask if it works with ABS?

Default Info

Hi all. Glad to see some interest in the lowered look. Here are a couple of contacts to TS members who have experimented with drop kits that have been tested: "Microdot" and "blown-T3-on-nitrous". Blown is the guy at speedofsoundperformance.com. His name is Tom (as a matter of fact I think that's Tom up there "Tom's Tundra"), contact: 850-769-3465. He has lowering kits available and on the market, to include a rear disc brake kit which will soon be similar to the ones designed by TRD.

"droppedtundra" (Billy Valko), no longer runs the drop kit. He has gone "PreRunner" style in the meantime.

As for my ride, I am stock height, running the same 20" wheels, now wrapped in 275/45-20. I look to running the rear 2" shackle mod soon. Just been so busy lately.

As for the type of wheel to use, I could only stress that it is of uttmost importance to test-fit as much as possible before a purchase. As an example: My 20X8.5s have 5" of backspace on 245/40-20 tires. This rim and tire combo fit perfectly for the 4" lowered front end. The wheels tuck under the fender nicely. Anything more than this tire and rim size would rub against the upper arm. On the upside, if you want a drop that is not that extreme, but just as equally sweet, then check out Microdot's ride. It is lowered running 22X9.5s. Here's a photo link: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/photo...cat/500/page/1

Hope this info helps some. Good Luck,
Ron

Just a little additional info. He had to go staggered with that drop to get rid of the rub. He's running 265/40/22 up front and 305/40/22 in the rear. Looks awesome.

Default What's my best option?

I don't want a low rider but I do want to lower the rear of my '02 Tundra.

I have OEM springs front and rear with HD Bilsteins and I ride on stock 16" rims with 265's.
My ARB bumper drops the front and leaves the tail sitting high.
I would like to drop the rear level with the front. Are lowering shackles my best option?

I have ride-rites and xxf RAS available to install if needed.

Not my truck. It is Toms from speedofsoundperformance.com. They are the ones that actually make the drop.
