Suspension & AxleTechnical discussions regarding alignment, stock and modified suspensions, lift kits, axles, hub conversions, gearing and steering.
This is a discussion thread titled "Lowered Trucks, Please Check In!", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
The DC in the SOS pics is mine and I'm extremely pleased with the lowering kit. My biggest gripe with the DC was it's stance, way too much room in the wheel wells. Luckily I live fairly close to Tom's shop and found his business. I can say that they are a very professional group of guys and have quite a background in modifying vehicles. While I didn't do the install myself I can say that it is extremely easy and doesn't require large changes in your truck. The ride is great, actually I think it's much better than the stock ride, smoothed it out. I always felt the stock ride was spongy and seemed to "hop" a bit. I also had the Tokico shocks installed. I added 20" Centerline wheels and BFG G-Force 265/50s. I'm also very pleased with them. My whole purpose with my Tundra was to make it race-styled and I think I've accomplished my goal.
FYI, Speed of Sound Performance is now a Preferred Vendor. Please look for their advertisement in the marketplace.

I recently installed the SOS lowering kit on my Flareside.
It looks good, the handling doesn't really 'feel' any different now, and with the overload springs removed it softened up the ride just a bit so it's now the same as a normal Access cab.
