Suspension & AxleTechnical discussions regarding alignment, stock and modified suspensions, lift kits, axles, hub conversions, gearing and steering.
This is a discussion thread titled "Raise the Beast", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I was in Daytona Beach, FL about 2 weeks ago for Spring Break and like every truck there was raised and/or had airbags, and pretty much all the suv's there had spinners too, it was great. After I got back, I was thinking if I should raise my sequoia too. What do you guys think? Any advice as to how high, what kinda tires, etc? Thanks.
(almost) anything that works for the front of a tundra will work for the front of a sequoia. dunno offhand how to raise the rear, you've coils, we've leaves.
some of the handling & suspension threads might help ya...if youre 4x4, about 2.5" is the most you'll be able to lift in front without losing grease or damaging upper ball joints.
Does it effect the ride? Just checking as pagal has many ride concern issues from the other posts. Will lifting effect any other suspension components that might increase ride harshness?
I also have the revtech 2 1/2 in the front 1 1/2 in the rear, I love it it rides great, handle well, I installed the Mickey Thompson Baja crawler radials
check my pics in the gallery.

If you want unique, coilovers (bilstein, king, donahoe, sway-ways) intergrated with a tuff country drop bracket kit. Total lift would be about 6-7 inches and have the capability of running 35" tires. I know of no seqouia out there like the one Ive listed, I would look mean!

Nice ride, RJ. What's the tire size and what kind of wheel is that?
Looks like MTII but with simulated beadlocks. I was thinking Eagle Alloys....
