Sunhouse is on a distinguished road.
Default Leaf spring sag

I have a 2004 non trd tundra access cab. The other day i had it loaded with 1200 lbs of trash to take to the dump. I was checking how much the rear settled loaded and unloaded.

Load weight 1,160 lbs

Measurment from wheel well

Before load 36-3/8" from pavement

With load 33-5/8" from pavement

Total drop 2-3/4"

I noticed that there are three large long springs and one thicker spring.
The thicker spring is shorter and about twice as thick than the longer springs.

My question is

Do the three longer springs sag more to absorb a rough road for a for a smother ride and when loaded they sag to the fourth thicker spring to stop the saging?

Also FYI my truck limited acess cab 4x4 no mods yet and one passenger

Total weight 4,700 lbs

No passengers 4,500 lbs

Oh yea i got to see how the truck looks level though

yeah, that's pretty much it...the fourth is the overload leaf.
