Default What is it?

On the rear diff housing of my DC there is a bracket with a 1/4 dia. rod about a foot and a half long that runs to some kind of brake valve. Could someone please tell me what it is and what it does? Thanks PW

that would be your load sensing porportioning valve for your brakes... the more load the more the rear brakes will apply

Thats a LSBPV(Load Sensing Bypass Proportioning Valve) It senses the weight/load in the bed and helps the rear brakes apply depending on that size of load. HTH
