This is a discussion thread titled "TRD Exhaust Rubbing on Sway Bar Bracket", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I own a 2003 Tundra Access Cab. Helwig sway bar and TRD exhaust are the two contradicting items on my truck currently...this has been a problem ever since I had my exhaust installed. I'm getting metal-to-metal rubbing on my sway bar support bracket and my driver-side exit exhaust pipe. Passenger side is just fine. Has anyone else come across this problem? To avoid the two metal parts rubbing together, I have wrapped split loom around the support bracket (but it only lasts a short while). Now, the exits of both sides look rather uniform. One exhaust tip isn't further back or further out than the other side...so I don't know what to do.
If anyone has any suggestions of what I may be able to adjust, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm getting a bit tired of wrapping split loom around that support bracket every month because it keeps getting eaten away by the metal-to-metal rubbing of the exhaust. Thank you in advance for any help you can throw my way.

I can get some better pictures if it will help.

Most likely you will have to reroute the exhaust pipe. I had some rubbing issues with my back driver side and they rerouted this which took care of the problem.
think of some kind of bracket, that will move the top mounting point of the sway bar extender link where it connects up at the top to the frame. that would give you the clearence u need. seems like that might work.

Thanks for the reccommendations everyone. That split loom I put on the bracket gets eaten up in about 2 weeks it seems I hate that metal-to-metal sound.
