I recently got a set of front lowering springs from another member online here. They are 2" lower than stock and are custom made to order. I'm going to remove the lower ball joint spacers because the ride is unsafe to me. Raising the lower balljoint will throw off your contact patch on the road surface.
As for the rears, I'm going to order the Moroso ones and see how it fits.
I installed the SOS 2"/3" drop a week ago and have since noticed a mild vibration. I thought that this might be the perfect place to ask if anyone else has had this problem. The vibration was far worst and has gotten better after about 200 miles of driving. It occurs at low speeds only and can be felt most around 25-30 MPH. I already had my alignment done and my pinion angle was measured and turned out to be the correct degrees that SOS says it should be. It isn't all that bad now and I can live with it, but I was just wondering if anyone here had a quick fix. Any help would be appreciated...Thanx
Two things I would check:
1. Make sure that your wheels are properly seated on the hub. Tundra Wheels are hub centric and the slightest misalignment between the hub and wheel will cause a vibration.
2. Check your exhaust for sway bar clearance. I had a similar problem when I installed the DJM Shackles. The left rear side of my TRD exhaust was touching the end link on the sway bay. That in turn caused a slight vibration that I could feel and it was most apparent at the 2K resonance.
Thanx for the reply...I do not have a rear sway bar, but I still checked for any exhaust clearance issues and found none. Initially, my exhaust had to be cut due to lack of clearance because of the rear flip kit. I went ahead and replaced my muffler and had the rear piping angled more towards the rear and away from the leaf springs. Unfortunately, the vibration still exists. As for the tire issue, I was told that high speed vibrations can be caused by this. However, my vibration is more of a low speed vibration. After reading a few posts I have come to the conclusion that my driveshaft might be misaligned. Anyone know if this is an easy fix? Is this a job for any mechanic or am I in need of a specialist?
I was really suprised to see all the work that you guys did in this thread. I didn't know so many people were trying to lower Tundras. I looking to lower mine, and i'd like to go 4/6. I've read most of what you guys have posted and it seems very complicated. How hard is it to get that extra inch in the front? 6 inch flip kit in the rear is easy. 3 inch in the front is easy. 4 in the front looks like you have to have cut it up and put in a whole new front end.
Digital how far did you get on yours?
I really would like to go 4 in the front if anyone has any specific plans o how to do it without screwing up my truck....its the only ride i got.
Thanks,

hmmm... U put the 1" spacers in and it threw off your alignment is what you are saying, correct? That is where the 6* upper control arms from AIM would come into play, they would allow you to correct that issue. I dont supposed you have any pix of the truck with the spacers in there do ya?

Digital,
I have no pics with the spacers on. The alignment was off and scrub radius was severely affected.
On a side note, how much are you going to lower the rear again? And, what dimensions are the u-bolts you are using and where you got them.
just gut it and put a new front end on. i went with a mustang II front and a 93 tbrid rear independant

As much sense as that seems to make, I know I personally dont want to have to sell my wheels, and then go thru all teh fab work to get those parts fitted.

anybody did a 3/5 drop? if so, what kind and how? any custom work had to be done? please share your setup and pics if you got some. if cant get a 3/5, I will settle with SOS 2/4 kit.
i to am looking for a drop kit for my 03 trd access cab, i did look at sos perf's and i like it however, its kinda hard to find a good place to install it on such as small island like oahu....everyone would rather LIFT their tundra instead of slam it....
