Imdone - has it arrived? Will there be a reception party?

Have had a couple conversations with Mike at ORW and with RCD themselves. Apparently none of the kits are "actually" boxed up and ready to ship.
Figures, kit is done and I still have to wait.
RCD is hoping that all the kits will be boxed up and ready to go out very soon, but they can't give me a date for when it will be shipped. They are going to call me with a tracking # when it goes out UPS.
I will post some pics when it arrives. I apparently am the first actual customer in AZ that will be getting one and RCD doesn't have any other person orders that they told me about, so I guess I will be getting one of the first boxed up kits.
So the saga continues...

RCD will probably finally ship them out when people have lost interest on this and moved onto a different truck all together. From the time I have had my Tundra til now a year after I let go of the Tundra, this kit is still not available.
Imdone, I hope you won't be finally done with waiting on them by the time these things ship out.

I was at RCD today, they needed to look at the 03 and up spindle for the design changes...anyways, saw the new spindles, one word: BEEFY! They look way stronger than the stock ones...neither of the other tundras were there though, just thought I would share that the spindles look pretty cool .

Exactly what you said, looking on changes to make the spindle for the 04's. Tuff country is the same way, so I'm stuck with the spindle adaptors. But once one of these companies produce the 04 spindle, I'm picking them up from whomever.
I recently went to a lift shop to get pricing on the RCD lift. I wanted to get opinions from everyone about the lift, wheels and tire combo that I got priced. The wheels were the American Eagle 146 chromed and the Toyo M/T 35's, 10 ply. Does anyone have any opinions about these tires and rims? Klaud, will this setup work? The backspacing is 3.75. I want the tires to stick out only about an inch from the body and am not sure if this will do the trick or if I will get too much rub? Also, the price I got for everything including mounting, balancing and install with all the parts came to $4881 including tax. Is this a reasonable price or can I do better? Thanks.
From what I have been reading, our trucks don't really need regearing with 35's. What does everyone out there with 35's think? The price for the lift was $2150, install was $450, the tires are about 250 each, and rims also about $250 each. Yes, the rims are pretty expensive, but I need the chrome look because I have the midnight blue color on truck and chrome rims and love the look. Anyone out there running the Toyo MT's 35's, how much mileage do you have on them? The guy at the shop said those tires will wear out the engine faster though since they are "extreme". Is this true?
i think that if youre gonna pound pavement, you dont need to regear for 35s. if youre going on fire roads and dirt trails, you probably also dont need to regear. if youre going on anything difficult or technical, towing or hauling a load, you will need to regear as the 35s definately give a drop in power. iirc it's roughly 25% more torque required to turn the 315/75/16 than the stock 245/70/16 (the trd package 265/70/16 is already a step up).
also, youll notice the 35s at the pump, and driving around youll be lower in the rpm band. if you have an aftermarket muffler, youll probably be hurting for low-end grunt unless you adapted a muffler to the stock pipe. if you ran duals, youll really be hurting. if you spin the tires offroad (or on road), youre more likely to break a cv joint or an axle shaft when the tires hook up. tire pressure will be very important, a set of 5 (and youll need five, dont drive around with 4 35" tires and a 31" spare, it'll be useless if you have a flat) tires will cost you a little over a grand out the door, so chalk test to avoid wearing them improperly.
the truck also idles forward very quickly with 35s and stock gears, when youre in low range, way too quickly for running technical trails. or, you can run the technical trails, but youre risking a lot of frontal carnage.
regear, at least to 4.56...4.88 will put you about 50rpm higher at highway speed than with stock gears and base stock tires, which with 35s isnt a bad place to be at all.
big tires and stock gears will slowly burn up an automatic transmission, especially if you tow, haul, or accelerate fast alot.
it will work and likely be fine for a long while, but the tranny's life will be much short than it would have been
AND, if you do break the tranny, most dealers will deny the fix if you are running 35s and stock gears. they might deny it at first if you regear, but you could convince them alot easier that it wasnt your fault
I will be doing only street driving. No towing/no hauling. However, wouldn't it be against you if you started messing with the gears and the tranny went out. Wouldn't the dealer say it was your fault for messing with the gears. Also, how much are we talking for new gears + install?
I honestly don't recall if the stock Tundra rims will work with the RCD lift? At this point, I have not added in the cost of rims to this whole thing.
Thanks!

If you change the gears you are making the attempt to keep the correct ratio for driving the vehicle. if you change tires you are changing the gear ratio of the vehicle.
the truck comes with 3.91 - 1 and if you cange tire size upward the effective ratio goes down for the performance of the vehicle and other parts start to work harder.
If you cange anything on the truck and are worried about any type of warranty it's you against the dealer working on the truck for that.
re:stock wheels I don't think there was ever anything posted on wheel size/fitment for this lift.
I know Tuff country has a requirement but I haven't seen that RCD does.
