Default Re: RCD Lift Info, PART 2

I Love my lift and would never go back to the 2.5 coilover setup previously! If I would have done my homework the first time I would have done this first, but I didn't. Like everyone mentioned earlier, you might as well go with the 6" lift instead of the 4". Also, I believe if you're a 2WD you can always go back to stock since there's no cutting involved. This is a high quality kit and have never heard of anyone complain about this kit! Biggest investment you won't regret! There's nothing sweeter than sitting 6" higher plus 3" BL sitting of 35's!!!

Yeah, I know you still have yours smart@ss!!!

But hopefully RCD will hurry their butts up for the Gen2 truck. They said no definite date yet. I can see another year or two before they have theirs out. But that will be perfect timing for me to buy one.

Yeah, I've considered it, that is kinda big though, the thought of 38s 20s is pretty sic tho. If I do go with bulletproof, I will likely go 10" lift and run 37s. I want to go 8" so what's another 2"??? Nothing right, it's already going to be big as hell, I just need to make sure it will still drag the trailer around. But yeah, bulletproof has a pretty amazing kit.

so far i've seen quite a few 2007+ with 35's but the tires look small. I don't know if it's cause they're just bigger trucks or what?

I would say 'yes', it's all a matter of proportion. For the 1st gen Tundra's, 35's look just about perfect, in my opinion. For the 1st gen D-cab's I would say 37's would look just about perfect due to the extra sheet metal for the larger cab. Proportions, proportions, proportions! Try to say that 3 times fast!

It's funny cause I when I first started doing my research on RCD I had to read the RCD lift Info Part 1 and hearing all of you guys waiting and waiting for this kit to come out. 2 years later it finally comes out! Now, here you are waiting again...

Story of my life, brutha!!!

The wheels I want, yeah, had to pull every string possible, got them to be made, but 2 month backorder just for blanks to be received, this doesn't include drill time.

Then I will have to wait until the crapola tires on the truck wear out before the wife will let the purse strings loose for tires.

BUT on the bright side, I will have a set of Camburg UCAs that should be here shortly.

I will entertain you guys with a picture of what an OEM 2000 UCA vs the 2008 OEM UCA looks like, plus of course I will post up pics of the UCAs and when they are on.

Oh yeah, and the biggest bite in the @ss is that gears won't even be made for another 1.5 years at the earliest, which really puts my lift plans on HOOOOOOOOOLD which I'm not really excited about.

But, like I said, story of my life...

Default Re: RCD Lift Info, PART 2

let's see...if he starts the thread now he'll have 2 years of pages asking, "So anyone have any new info on the release date of the RCD kit yet?" Haha!! I'm just kidding! But i'm pretty sure it's gonna take that long for them to get something out. How the heck did Procomp getting something out this soon?
