Suspension & AxleTechnical discussions regarding alignment, stock and modified suspensions, lift kits, axles, hub conversions, gearing and steering.
This is a discussion thread titled "RCD Lift Info, PART 2", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
That's the longest thread I've ever seen that still managed to have information in it till the end. It's unfortunate that it had to take 2 years to finish it, but now it will finally be done. The next step will be getting new spindles cast and machined for the latest models. Hope that doesn't take so freakin long...
I've seen a post on this thread that RCD will be including a set of new coilovers in their kit, however, I do not see them in the pics of the kit posted on their website. Does anyone know if a set will be included or not? By the way,
has anyone seen Triggs75, I believe that's his handle, setup? That is pretty much how I would like my truck to look except for the front needs to be about an inch lower in the front. Will RCD be able to provide that look?

Probably. I've got the same set-up as Triggs and love it. Check my pics if your curious. I just haven't posted new pics yet with the 35's.

Thanks for the complement. And I got the set-up from looking at Zombie's pics also. Don't you love this site...

Hey Triggs75,
I'm just curious why you didn't go with the 315/75/16 instead. Wouldn't that make the tires wider? Would they rub too much or not fit at all? If you don't mind, could you tell me how much you paid for the wheels/tires total? Thanks.

The 315 is what the width is. 70 and 75 are ratio's and the height of the tire or your sidewall. So I do have a little less sidewall since I got the 17's instead of 16's.
As far as pricing, the rims were $1500 out the door and tires were $960 tax, balnce, chrome valve stems, everything out the door. The rims were custom made by boze and took 3 weeks to do, but well worth the wait. They make them to what ever spec you want. They made them with a 3 5/8" backspacing, which was key and works wonders with clearance from the spindle, and frame.
The picture of the kit shows the yellow bilsteins which are now zinc plated and the kit doesn't come with new coil springs just new shocks on all four, which the picture does show, two front and two in the rear.

ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT MAKING A NEW POST??? TRY SEARCH FIRST!!!!!
About 5 minutes ago I got an email that the first 10 kits are being packed up and getting ready to go to some local installers. From there, it will go to national distribution, but I don't know when they make that decision. Probably when the local installers give us some feedback. I am pretty sure that orders were being taken a few weeks ago at the SEMA show. You might want to look into places that sell and/or install RCD kits. They might have some on order, or be in contact with our sales department. We don't sell customer direct. I would also imagine that if you are the sales guys' email list for this kit, they'll be sending out info as soon as they figure it all out.
rockymountainsusp.com has listed the RCD lift as available and at a cost of $2366.00 little pricy but its a start, I would love to be a "test vehicle" and I can test things very hard but until this kit drops in cost I think I will have to make due for now. BUT REST ASSURED!!! I will be watching this kit closely
