I was just cleaning out my favorites folder when I came across this: http://airbagit-store.com/product.as...t.asp&ID=83114. I haven't seen many Sequoia's with airbags, only about 1 or so. I don't know much about airbag suspension so I was wondering if you guys could help me out here, I mean I know the general facts about it but nothing indepth. Does this kit include everything needed for a complete airbag system? Has anyone heard of that company before? How would the ride quality be? This was something I was consider doing back in early 2004 but I dropped the idea since I didn't know much about it or this company or the reliability of this product.
That is quite a kit for $2K. I had Air Lift 1000 air bags without the compressor put on the rear of our 2001. This was to stiffen up the rear for towing our travel trailer. I don't have a need to flip a switch in the cabin to raise the vehicle, the manual fill and release at the back of the truck is fine for me.
I got the Firestone RideRites. Blue bags go inside the rear coil springs. I chose manual fill - under $100 delivered and a couple hours to install.
From threads here, I understand that this is the least desireable way to take care of tongue-weight sag. Better betis to go with one of them weight-distributing hitches that'll work with surge brakes.
Search the archives, there's some good posts on this topic.

I never dealt with them but that looks like all you would need. That tank looks pretty small same with the compressor. The ride should be pretty smooth but it also depends on how good the shocks are. Air bags work similar to coils. The more air in them the higher you sit but the rougher the ride. So on the freeway let them down and it will ride like a caddy. Heck for the price it is probably worth it.
Yes airbag is an air ride suspension. NO COILS
