Default "Twanging" Spring sound?

Anyone had this? When I back out of the driveway in the AM I cut the wheels to the right to enter roadway and when I go to drive foward I hear a sound like a spring being thumped or something. It is louder in the AM at first and through the day it may or may not do it and if so it is usually not as loud. At the dealer of course I could not get it to happen. I also found that if I ride the brake pedal as I roll foward it doesn't happen until I let off the pedal. I only have 600 miles on it. It's a 2005 Tundra SR5 Doudble cab 4X4.
PS this is my first post I just joined yesterday hope I did this right.

Thank you.

Talking The ABS "Twang"

If you have ABS, it is the self check test, and that is normal. Mine typically does it after backing out of the driveway, and just as I start driving forward. It should do it every time you start the truck and move a short distance either in forward or reverse or a combination of both.

Welcome to TS!

I don't hear it at start up but I will try backing up a fair distance to check it out.
Thanks Again!!!

My DoubleCab does the same thing. I called the dealer yesterday about the noise and they said they had heard about this from other customers. However, they gave me no reason for the noise. I also have a buddy who just bought a Sequoia and his makes the same noise.

Default dealer visit

I just got back from the dealer where my salesman let me take a brand new Tundra for a spin in the lot and it did the same thing I described. My mind is at ease now. Must be one of those things Tundras do. If anyone finds out somethig else please let me know.

Thank you.

I have ABS and I have never noticed it. I am curious now, and am going to listen for it tomorrow.

And if you are actually an A-10 Warthog pilot for the USAF I envy you soooooo much. That plane is sooo awesome. Ugly and effective. Saw 4 of those tear up some tanks at the "Capstone" event near Nellis a couple years ago. "Low and Slow is the way to go..."

Sorry for the off topic post.

I actually am a sheet metal mechanic on the A10 wing sections. Sorry if the username was misleading, however, it is too me equally rewarding to work on such an awesome aircraft.

Take care.
