Question Rear Truck Bed Not Level

Anyone else have this problem? 2005 Tundra DC SR5 4x4. I just noticed the back left rear end of my truck is about one inch higher than the right side.I have had the Truck for two months .No other problems.

Is that with the driver in the truck? It might level out when you have only one person in the truck.

I have a 2005 DC 2wd, & I seem to notice the same thing from time to time - i.e., that the right rear corner of the bed appears lower than the left corner. The front is square. I haven't gotten the tape measurer out to confirm or refute what my eyes are telling me.

Other than that the truck drives just fine.

Thanks for the replys. I have almost a full tank of gas and I sat in the truck and had my wife look at a level across the back. It's still about three quarters of an inch high. It's not a big deal , just wondering if it was the norm

I have a 2000 4x4 and have noticed it several times. As a matter of fact I put my shell back on yesterday and noticed it was leaning to the left. I got to work this morning and it was leaning to the right. I think I need new shocks though. its got 102k miles and I do take it out 4xing

Same here, 2005 D-Cab 2WD. I have about an inch of difference, right side lower than left. Haven't had a chance to point it out to the dealer yet, but will upon my next trip for an oil change.

My 03 Tacoma had a major lean. My Tundra seems to have a very slight one as well. Nothing like my Tacoma had though.

Default I believe it's the weight....

My 03 Tacoma that I had had a pretty good lean in it to the left. After doing some digging I found out that it was because of the weight on the left side of the truck. IE: Gas tank, Transfer Case, Driver. The same is is happening to my 05 AC Tundra. I figure it's because of the same thing.

Default Uneven Bed

I have an 05 DC LTD 4x4 and I have the same problem. I went to an aftermarket guy to have it checked and he said that sometimes, when they ship the trucks, they tie them down to the hauling truck so tight that it tweaks the springs. He said you could fix it with some helper springs......about $200, plus would give more support for hauling stuff....

Don't know if that is the case, but makes sense....

Default Truck bed not level

I had a truck, not a Tundra, that had the same problem. When I took it to the dealer and showed him the problem he said he knew exactly what the problem was. When the truck was shipped on the carrier, they chain the things down and if the driver chains it down too much it warps the springs. The dealer replaced the springs in this case.
