Has anybody heard of this? Is this a lift kit? What does 0 to 3 mean?
TACOMA/TUNDRA 0" TO 3" ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION FEATURES:GIANT 7/8" hard chromed shaft
Precision-machined fully threaded shock bodies
Internal oil reservoir separates oil and High pressure nitrogen gas CNC machined from Billet material Large eyelet spherical bearing to eliminate bushing wear
PERFORMANCE:Race proven quality and performance Adjustable ride height
Superior ride and suspension control
Adjustable valving
Nitrogen-charged to resist fading
New this year are Race Runner high performance coilover suspensions for the Toyota 4X4 Tacoma and Tundra. They offer a fully integrated and tuned suspension upgrade. The coilovers are fully adjustable for ride height offering up to 3" of additional lift on the '96 - '02 Tacomas and '00 - '02 Tundras. They are a complete bolt-on assembly. Every shock is precision hand assembled and tested. The shocks feature CNC Billet machined aluminum shock ends with high quality bearing ends and proprietary Torco Racing Oil. All coil springs are cold rolled, preset, and then shotpeened for extended life. Matching rear shocks without coilover available shortly.
These are adjustable coil-overs! 0-3 is the amount of lift that you can get depending upon how far you compress the coil up the threaded body shaft. I have them on my truck and they work great. Similar to the Fabtech, Downey, and other coil-over lifts on the market.

Does the set include front and back? How does it compare to Daystar and Fabtek? I want a bit more of a lift than 2 and a half inches, and it is only 50 bucks more. Does 299 bucks sound good? Also how is the preformance off road and can you add spacers or anything else to this to make it higher in the future? Sorry about all the questions but I am trying to decide on a lift kit. Thanks for the info -Barry
The first important consideration is whether or not you have a 4x4. If not, then you have no concerns about the cv joints and can go with the max lift offered by coil overs. Coil over lifts REPLACE the stock coil and struts with the set up described in your first post in this thread. Daystars are SPACERS that fit OVER the top of the coil assembly. That is how they provide lift. There has been ample discussion reguarding daystar and cornfed spacers, and it sounds like the CF ones are probably better, IMHO. However, you will still have the stock springs, which, for me, are way to soft for the kind of driving (romping) I do, so for me it was an easy decision. As far as the Fabtech, when I got mine there were only 3 choices: Fabs, Downey's or the Sways. I went with the sways because the Fabs were apparently rather stiff, requiring tweaking of the gas pressure in the shock. They have since come out with a softer setup. Also there were some problems with the lower bushing squeeking and early wear. The Downey version was also a good setup, but they were way back-ordered. The thing that sold me on the Sways was the spherical eyelet for the lower bushing.
I have a 4x4 and my Sways did not come with any rear gear. I put an add-a-leaf on to level her out.
If you have a 2x4, I guess in theory you could run both a spacer and a coil over, but I'm not completely sure. Maybe some one else could answer this for you.
Is the $299 quote for the Sways?? If so thats pretty cheap! I got my set for $650.
Good luck and happy lifting!!

it probably wouldn't be safe, as those lifts were not meant to fit together, and your ball joints may fatigue soon, BUT you could actually get 6" of lift out of a 4X2.... This is based on the fact that a trd tundra has 6" of wheel travel down... You would just have a hell of a time adjusting everything and would have a harsh ride...

basmith, I have read this add before but I can not remember what company this was for. Where did you find this add for a $299.00 lift kit. I have been looking for one myself and do not really want to spend the $850 on the fabtech kit and I have been waiting for my Downey catalog that still has not shown.
The Sway-A-Way coilovers at $299 is a great price, I wasted an entire afternoon calling over 40 distributors and I finally paid $305 each plus shipping - the weight was 41# and the think the freight came to a little less than $30. Here's the site that the ad came from: http://www.swayaway.com/Hot%20Products%20frameset.htm
