Default Revtek Lift and Upper Arms?

I'm looking at getting a Revtek 2.5" lift (w/AAL rear), which comes with a 1" diff drop on my 04 DC.

From all my research, I figure the only components that get stressed in this situation (on/off road) are the shocks (at full extension bottoming out) and the ball joints.

I could install limit straps to help with some of this, but my quesiton is could/would adding upper Arms and longer shocks alleviate these issues and allow for almost stock amount of articulation? I figured without anything, the stock articulation is reduced by 2.5" on the down side since the lift is already pulling up 2.5".

Default Why not

If you are going to do all that why not just get a lift shock and upper arms with a diff drop. Your vehicle would handle better on and offroad. Those spacer lifts make the ride a little unpleasent because it maxes out the shocks. But the small change in the ride is worth it considering it is the cheapest way to go. But if you are going to off road at all I would go with a shock like Donahoe, Sway Away, King. You can find a used one pretty resonably.
