Default cv joints

Have a 03 Tundra 4x4, with fabtech 3 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body, with 33's on 16 x 10 inch weld Mnt. Crushers. Went to change the oil the other day and noticed some grease outside of the left cv joint. Truck has 37000 miles on it and only off roading is in beach sand. Is this normal, or cause for concern? I have read that if the tundra is lifted some grease may sling from cv's, but still would like some input. Thanks.

it is very normal to have a CV with a case of the runs after a suspension lift. the CV boots can be tightened with regular hose clamps in place of the standard cv clamps. eventually tho the boot will split from the higher angle and will have to be replaced. if you go ahead and do the porche 911 boot mod you will kill 2 birds with 1 stone. they are for a higher angle cv than our stock toy boots.
