Suspension & AxleTechnical discussions regarding alignment, stock and modified suspensions, lift kits, axles, hub conversions, gearing and steering.
This is a discussion thread titled "Coilover Adjustments", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Can you adjust coilovers by just jacking the truck up or do you have to use a spring compressor? Mine have settled and I now need to raise the front back up.

Typically, you raise the front end off the ground so the you have full droop then spay the theads and the colar on the shock body with oil and then adjust the colar, adjust the colar half the distance that you want to make at the fender, ( if you want a 1" at the fender change, adjust the colar .5" ).
Best regards, Kent
