As far as BOLT ON kits for the Tundra, nobody makes an 8 inch suspension lift yet.
The highest you can go is a 6" lift made by RCD suspension.
Tuff Country makes a 4.5-5" lift and there are several brands of 3" spacer and coilover lifts you can get for the Tundra.
Are you planning on taking your truck offroad, or just for looks. Don't get that last sentence the wrong way tho, there is nothing wrong with lifting for looks.
It's just a way to help determine the type of lift kits you should get.

Yes, i made a mistake on buying a 2wd, but i still take it off road. i go off road all the time, but not mudding. I was gonna get the fabtech coil over dirt logic w/ rear add a leaf. but then my neighbor got an 8" for his titan w/ 22" wheels w/ 35" tires. looks sick. it encourages me to go that big. lol. but yeah, i do go off road alot. how are the tuff country 5" lifts? and what do everyone think about the 3" body lift?

Depending on what type of wheelin' you are doing I would say go for a long travel set-up rather then just raising the height. If you are not muddin' or rolling over large trees and bolders or trying to get up/down very extream angles where you would need more height then a lower center of gravity with longer travel would be the way to go.

If you still are going to raise it get the RCD kit and a 2" or 3" body lift. I saw one the other day w/36's on it and it looked wicked the way it was set up.

I dont do much off road (mudding) mostly on power line roads and minor trails.
I have a 3" bofy lift and will be doing the RCD 6" next month along with 35's.
I have seen 2 in LV so far and to me they look SWEEEEEET!.

You can go bigger than 35's with 8 inches of life.

True, but for now, I have the 4.88's and everything is already on the way.
I dont trust the axles for anything bigger than 35's, I tow alot, and its always about 6000lbs
For now the 35's will be ok, maybe next time around.
Oh ya I am only 5'6", I get the truck any taller & ill have to buy the electric steps or an elevator to reach.

Are you leaving the Bodylift on when you put in the RCD?????

If so I need to know which BL you have because I am thinking I need some more height. 9" would be just lovely...

I'll be really interested to see how that all plays out.

I know it seemed like I was kinda running out of rope when I dropped the power steering.

There were also a couple other spots that are going to be of interest.

I may have to go the route of the B/L too.

I am really set on getting some UCAs and putting the Daystar lift in because I think it will work then.

Make sure you keep me posted when this goes down. I may just have to make a trip to LV just to see this shiznit!!!!

WHAT HAPPENED TO STEERING?
There were also a couple other spots that are going to be of interest.

I may have to go the route of the B/L too. If you get the body lift, check the steering shaft extension that comes in the kit. It did not fit with my headers, its to big around. I had to make my own steering shaft extension. Check it before you start. I think there is a pic of my extension in my gallery. The body lift was not designed for headers.
I am really set on getting some UCAs and putting the Daystar lift in because I think it will work then. I am definatly going to try to add the top spacer to the RCD.
Make sure you keep me posted when this goes down. I may just have to make a trip to LV just to see this shiznit!!!!
THANK YOU JAMESJR4750 , I just ordered the RCD. It was NOT $10 for shipping. That $10 was for NON SPECIAL ITEMS. (read fine print ).It doesnt matter even with shipping, it was cheaper than anywhere else I found it.
So its now done, CAMBURG UCA on the way, RCD on the way.
Body lift already installed, 4.88's on the bench and ready.
35 RCD club here I come.

Something along the lines of Camburg or Total Chaos and a few others. You might get 6" of lift but you will have 13+" of travel which will help soak up the hits especially at speed. If you look around the forums you will see some of the members with the long travel suspension.

Just to add to DBD's comments: Long travel moves your tires out and creates a wider stance. This will improve the off road handling. The RCD and others do not improve the amount of "Travel" much. They may give you an inch or maybe 2 but Total chaos long travel will give you a total of 12-13 inches and allow for a softer off road ride. But then you will need to do the back end to handle as good as the front. Then you are cutting up your new truck to do cages, bumpers custom crap and it never ends
