This is a discussion thread titled "Body Lift Pricing", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Next in line is a 3 inch body lift. I've called a few places in Vegas and have a ball park of $800-$1100 for the parts and install. Anyone have any luck with lower prices?
Performance Accessories with Gap gaurds were like $400 at one place, which was ok with me, but $640 for the install seemed steep.
Thanks
ps. the body lift is what I want given what I do with my truck.. no need to bash it

I won't bash your body lift. They rock!
I had one on my ole ford for 15yrs and it never caused any problems, on or off road.
The parts price sounds right.
Labor? sorry can't help there (you know why)
ANYONE???

I have a 3" body lift on mine and think it looks every bit as good as any other lifted Tundra . I also have the gap guards and it looks complete. Absolutely no problems with premature suspension wear and can still run 305.70.16 tires with a 10" wheel.
I think the install prices sounds a little high but you could shop around. In Alaska we have no choices up here.
Every shop I talk to about body-lifts and tundras always say:
Tundra are more dificult because:
* the wires and cables running through the frame are more condensed and cut to lengh. ( I suppose the big three just throws any lenght of cable in there as long as it works?)
* yeah...labor always seems to come up high...of course you can always walk over to the darkside...*AH HUM* I mean 4WheelParts and they'll price match anyone else's price...period. They're the Walmart of the OffRoad world.
I don't think they'll do a bodylift though if you already have a suspension lift...some lawsuits a few years back put a stop to that...for them.
