Default Help!!!!

hi everybody,

Im new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could help me out. I've got a 98 camry 4cyl. auto. I got a gaping hole in one of the cv boots on the driver side. anyone know how to differentiate inner and outer and how to replace it.

inner is inboard - closest to the middle of the vehicle or transaxle.
outer is at the hub.

to replace either one you will need to disconnect the wheel hub to slide the new boots on the half shafts. you can just cut the old / torn ones off. Do both boots even if just one is bad. you'll have to remove the outer to do the inner anyway if that's the one that's torn.

as far as the specific steps required, i've never worked on a camry. someone else may have some better advice.
